If you bought it from any of the carriers, take it back for warranty

updating to .405 now... will post findings once im done

EDIT: seems better than .351, seems smoother n faster, but no chinese support so i might revert back down to .351, other than that just overall speed increase a bit and faster boot up times, noticed a bit more memory with same apps and themes with this than with .351

i'll use it for a day and see how it actually is

I took the dive and upgraded yesterday to the new 405. . . . I'd say this is the OS RIM should've released the phone with. Very stable! Everything works as it should and I can confirm that the SMS # issue has been fixed. Battery life is still just as good as the original OS if not slightly better too. The BB browser is quciker as well (but I generally don't use the BB browser and prefer BOLT) Also this OS for some reason clears up about 5-7MB of free memory!!! Basically the only real big difference I see is the SMS # issue being fixed. Other than that, it's pretty much the same. You guys should definately upgrade to version 405.

my buddy uses opera mini on his bold 9000, but opera on the 9700 is really glitchy, anybody know a good browser other than the default telus one they provide

sms bug fixed...woohoo.

Haha my goodness you'll downgrade your OS just cause BBM messages don't show the name of the person? You are already in that person's chat window so you already know who you're chatting with.

I personally think that its a small thing compared to the sms # issue.

when theres 10+ people your talking with, you kinda need to know who that person is.

kayceeee 12-07-2009 04:11 PM

i've moved back to .351 as well, no real specific reason but i liked it more than 405
