how'z the plate in renfrew height area?

MG1 03-14-2011 08:04 AM

Speaking of Renfrew. Do they still have the creek running through Renfrew Park? I used to go there a lot in my younger days. The large opening under 22nd Avenue was awesome after a long string of rainy days. The tunnel, which was about 16 feet high and just as wide would be halfway full with water gushing out. The force of the water coming out was pretty scary.

I imagine they would have closed it up or something by now, because a person could have easily been hurt from all that force. The place was not fenced off or anything. Nobody dared go into the thing.

I should post this in the Vancouver History thread.
