VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Don't forget to turn the calendar: it's March! So, what does Mother Nature have in store for us?
"Harking back to exactly four weeks ago, I still concur with Speedy the Guinea Pig that winter is going to be slow to go back into hibernation this year," predicts News1130 Meteorologist Russ Lacate.
"This is really just a reflection in the atmosphere of what's going on in the oceans right now. It's a lingering La Nina signature over the equatorial waters of the Pacific and it's steering our weather forecast towards a pattern that looks to be out of place by about four weeks," he explains.
Lacate expects in a few weeks, we'll be feeling like winter is overstaying its welcome. "I suggest March will turn out to be on the cool side of normal. Precipitation amounts and the frequency of storms should be on the high-side of average."
On the bright side, Lacate says this means the snowpack will continue to build on the local ski hills.
who are you planning to spend the rest of your life with? your sister or girlfriend?

My car tent is still up, so I'm all good. It was pretty darn scary at times last night. If the wind had been northerly, the tent would be in the next neighbourhood, LOL.
Sonick is a genius. I won't go into detail what's so great about his post. But it's damn good!

The power finally came back on about half an hour ago making the outage a 14 hour stretch on Bowen Island.
So many trees were down and the ferry was way behind schedule due to the waves and having to operate the loading ramp by generator. With the shop and so many service calls requiring power, I was sent home half way through the day.
At home, I finally put together the BBQ I got for X-mas so I could cook some warm food.
