I <3 thunder and lightening.

finbar 08-30-2013 09:46 PM

Another 13 months of rain

Lomac 08-30-2013 09:55 PM

It's cute that you guys think that the lightning storms here are insane.

:troll:

Try the interior:

This one was taken RIGHT above where we were standing. Had the camera pointed straight up into the air, and took the photo as soon as we saw the pre-flashes in the cloud:
https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.n...19491638_n.jpg
https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.n...94850476_n.jpg
https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.n...84130544_n.jpg

Also saw a lightning bolt hit the mountain across from us and start a fire on the hillside. That shit was scary.

We've had lightning storms almost every night for the last three weeks now. Doesn't matter if it's clear out all day; come night time, you can see the flashes in the hills around you and, more often than not, they tend to head our way up there.

BTW... don't be an idiot like we were and stand in the middle of an open field at the top of a hill during a lightning storm... lol

Thundering, rain, and sunshine all at the same time...:fulloffuck:

With all that thunder and lightning came a flash flood in my area. It's all draining now but some poor bastard's house is below the grade of the street. There was at least 2' of water on the street, so I can only imagine how much got into his house.

Gonna grab a pony pump and drop it at the lowest part of his yard - dude's not even home.

Sweet, found a sump pump.

knight604 09-05-2013 04:32 PM

here comes the storm and the flood

Lighting and thunder FTW! Best time to be warm at home, after a long days work, chillin out and listening to some tunes. :Popcorn

Following a storm, the sky is stunningly gorgeous. It smells awesome as well.

I can't sit idly by and let someone post such a terrible, terrible song in what has otherwise been a pretty good thread.

If The Eagles were dead, they'd be rolling in their graves. As it is, they're still probably rolling, somewhere.

Was in manila during a 3 day thunder storm. It was like we got zeroed in by mortars. Plenty of fun but, my dog didn't enjoy it as much =(

I lived in Edmonton from 2010-2012 and we'd get thunderstorms almost every week in summer, sometimes every day. It was like Thor and Zeus were having a farting contest. One summer the province got 100,000 lightning strikes in three days.

Golfball sized hail was a regular occurance too.

But seriously, Jesus Christ. Is what happened yesterday a regular occurrence here?

shenmecar 09-07-2013 11:06 PM

^nope. it's quite rare for Vancouver to get that kind of thunderstorm.

I try not to fail people, and I rarely do. But this........... my god. The word blasphemy was created to describe instances like this. Nuff said. I'm now going into my listening room and crank up both Eagles' versions of Hotel California. Put the world back to where it should be, LOL.

LOL ok! I got the point. I didn't make the damn song and of course the original is a classic. I know the original HC word for word... Courtesy of every asian karaoke place in the lower mainland. MG1 I'm happy it made you go listen to the original. That's the great thing thing about remaking a classic... Whether you like it or not ... It reminds you of something good - then you go listen to it. Now stop shitting on this thread and making E-ternal-3 feel bad

StylinRed 09-15-2013 04:28 PM

And it begins once again...

least im here for it :D

BrRsn 09-15-2013 05:30 PM

Fawk ... today was a beanie, northface jacket, and tim horton's chilli kind of day.

B!tch 09-15-2013 05:38 PM

North face jacket? Chilli???

Dude it may be a bit damp but it isn't cold yet!

I wore flip flops, a tank and a light zip up hoodie......I love this weather. Love it! Love it! Love it!

Drove up to SFU this morning and the fog was lifting which is so cool to watch it disappear.

Fingers crossed for some more thunderstorms but I think a trip to Tofino this fall is in the cards for me.

Did I mention this is my favorite time of year?

Oh yes, I am a crazy b!tch :)

Stiig 09-15-2013 05:43 PM

nothing as relaxing as driving in an empty highway at night with the rain pouring... unless it compromises safety too much

StylinRed 09-15-2013 05:45 PM

it was thundering like crazy over here for a little bit but then it stopped quickly
