power outage at Broadway commercial, what a shit show of cops there. the entire safe way lot and the safeway itself was complete darkness. kind of cool to see.

Broadway from Nanaimo to Renfrew, and going up Renfrew up to about 6th Ave is all lights out too. drive safe everyone. too many idiots with high beams on...

And Wow. 983mbar according to my phone...

No wonder. Went there at 11:45pm to buy milk and all the lights were back on but the doors were all locked.

Since about 11:30pm, the area between Kingsway, Victoria, 22nd and Nanaimo is completely dark, including the Esso and McDonald's. Some blocks between Kingsway and 33rd are also dark. I'm in one of those dark blocks. The worst part is looking across the street and seeing my neighbors still have power.

Power restored at 2:30am. Funny, the kid wouldn't go to sleep, so I had just decided to take him out for a drive. I literally just went outside, closed the front door, and the lights came back on.

HonestTea 12-12-2014 03:16 AM

Power went out at 10pm and it was estimated to be back on by 1am and they just updated at 3:10am that it'll be back up by 12pm..

Fuckkkkkk

StylinRed 12-12-2014 04:02 AM

trees are down so be careful driving

fsy82 12-12-2014 08:53 AM

Estimated time for the south surrey area is 4pm today to have it restored..went out last night at 11pm

The one good thing about living in a new sub division with underground wires is the power doesn't go out nearly as much as when I used to live in an older neighbor hood with above ground wires. I think I've had 1 outage in 7 years, last night my house sounded like it was going to blow over but the power didn't waiver.

My power was out a few days ago and it said the same thing. Was only out for 1.5 hours or so and back up around 10:30AM.

I think they say it could take much longer so people are pleased when it comes on earlier...

RS mini meet at your place. We'll save the food from going to waste.

Times like this is when you wish you had an emergency generator.

Power went out in Guildford 156 and 100 last night at 10:30pm, came back around 2:30am. Haven't had a power outage in my area for about 5 years even when it was windy in the past. They just replaced the line on Monday too. Wonder if that had anything to do with it, it was rock solid before that.
