Could hear the rain and wind howling like crazy last night and when I woke up this morning to leave for work at 3:30 it was pouring like shit

It was crazy here last night but fine this morning.

^^ I live around BCIT and when I left for work this morning around 7am power went out.

BC Coroners Service spokeswoman Barb McLintock confirmed the coroner is investigating, but did not release any details about what happened.

Port Moody mayor Mike Clay said it’s believed the woman’s husband was in a different part of the house when the tree came down, trapping the woman in an upstairs bedroom. Clay said emergency crews tried to extract the woman, but were hampered by how much damage the tree had done to the house. It’s unknown whether there was anyone else in the house at the time.

“It’s just horrible ... this happened in a really tight-knit neighbourhood. This is going to be tough on the entire community,” he said, adding that the city will do whatever it can to help the family deal with this tragedy.

Totally OT; but that's what I always tell myself, try to live life to the fullest. Not to the extreme extent of 'YOLO' but you never know if you gonna get crushed by a tree at home in bed.
Not sure if you all remember the incident where that private plane crashed into a building in Richmond years back, luckily the suite that the plane hit was empty. My friend was actually just in the suite next door watching TV in the living room, imagine it went through her window instead!

Lol and in the summer we were hurting bad for rain. I rode today, it was absolutely shit on the way home.

Better to rain like shit now, so we can have an awesome summer like last year, yes?

Then we'd be complaining about watering ban. This year, I'll be prepared with rain collecting barrels.
