Funny thing is, there were no line-ups today. Enjoy storing your gas and filling from jerry cans for the next 3 weeks, you fucking retards.

Saw this on the Abbotsford PD FB page last night, and some of the photos really pack an emotional punch... :(

The one that struck me particularly hard is this:

I just don't have the right words to describe how I feel when I saw it...

Anyone else notice bagel shortages?
I see plenty of loaf breads, different brands, kinds, all in stock.
But I haven't seen any bagel since flood.
I've been to Walmart, Save on, No frills, IGA, zero bagels...

westopher 11-22-2021 06:40 PM

I just had a jalapeņo melt from siegels. They have plenty of bagels.

StylinRed 11-22-2021 06:42 PM

I just had a bagel at my parents place, and I never eat bagels

Parents don't normally buy bagels either :lol

Turd is meeting with first responders and volunteers in Abbotsford now.

-nice of him to drop by to meet with people while on his way to Tofino. LUL

^ yah ... his solution is to form a 'committee' to look into how the communities affected can be helped. Great!

westopher 11-27-2021 08:46 AM

What do you want him to do? Pull out his shop vac and clean it up?
Discussions with the community is probably step one. That’s not the end of it?

whitev70r 11-27-2021 09:40 AM

^ what about a commitment of $xxx million dollar for emergency relief first?

westopher 11-27-2021 09:42 AM

Because it probably won’t be enough? Do you pay your mechanic before he knows what’s wrong with the car?

Hondaracer 11-27-2021 09:42 AM

That money is for Quebec’s contingency fund

C'mon man ... apples and oranges. Mechanic vs. people displaced ??!! Living in hotels, livelihood majorly disrupted, no clean water, worry of disease in the flood water, homes destroyed ... I thought you were more grounded than that. Yes, in this situation ... commit and pay first.

westopher 11-27-2021 11:40 AM

It’s a fucking analogy man. Do you want them to do it properly?
I don’t even like Trudeau but your constant criticism of him regardless of the situation makes it pretty hard to take your opinion on this direct matter seriously.
There is nothing preventing the BC govt from taking the reigns on this, as they should, based on a greater understanding and direct knowledge of the situation. They should be organizing what needs to be done in this instant, and collaborate with the feds to come through with appropriate funding for what’s needed to respond and rebuild. All of these infrastructure issues are handled by provincial and local governments, so they should already be on it.

Also unseasonably warm. I'm sweating underneath all my winter bedding.

westopher 11-30-2021 08:50 AM

It's obviously very trivial, but RIP early snowboard season. Should put my shit back in the storage locker til January.

Hondaracer 11-30-2021 09:10 AM

100 year old house can’t keep taking these atmospheric rivers lol..

At least one of the 3 atmospheric rivers had formed and came from the Philippines. In addition to the heavy amounts of rain, I'm sure it is also carrying a lot of warmer temperatures with it.

I'm certainly enjoying the warm weather while it's here -- I went out for a comfortable evening walk last night only with a light jacket.

This will bring an abundance of snow to the alpine regions, and at times, we expect significant snowfall across lower elevations, including Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, Victoria, and the Okanagan Valley.

Potential for snow this weekend. Although probably wouldn't stick as it would be too warm during the day.
