not evacuated but my suite flooded and there's nothing that can be done since the water level is so high and its coming straight through the foundation. I have too cats locked in my bathroom since Sat and I check on them after work every day. Fucken sucks.

punkwax 12-01-2021 03:10 PM

That sucks dude.. I was whining about the city draining the lake that formed outside of my house as I was hoping to have a skating rink this winter but your problems are a little more real than mine.

Wishing you luck.

westopher 12-01-2021 03:18 PM

Sorry to hear man. Hope you can get back in there soon and hope your pets are ok.

Hondaracer 12-01-2021 03:33 PM

Damn Murdoc that sucks man..here’s hoping to the water receding asap.

Thanks guys, fucken sucks but it is what it is. I just hope we don't have any of these crazy storms and I can move my ship back in this weekend.

Hondaracer 12-09-2021 12:25 PM

If you want to see how utterly pathetic the federal response has been give helicopter pilot to the stars (and his colleagues, other private pilots) a follow

Turd pulled out military air support while these guys are flying their private aircraft to support remote and indigenous communities cut off by the floods

At least Turd managed to pop over for a photoshoot.

StylinRed 12-09-2021 04:49 PM

Does anyone know if UPS is shipping packages across the coast?

I made a purchase online and it estimated delivery by tomorrow

When I purchased the item it was well after the flooding so I assumed delivery estimates took that into consideration

I also assumed they were delivering the item by air and not ground

The tracking had still listed delivery by tomorrow last night but when I checked on it today it switched to severe weather event impacting delivery, delivery estimate TBD

So I'm like wtf -_-

JDMDreams 12-09-2021 04:59 PM

What do you mean the coast? I had a package that was shipped before and during the floods from the states and I got it fine. Through USPS and Canada post.

StylinRed 12-09-2021 05:16 PM

Oh whoops I mean from the east coast

JDMDreams 12-09-2021 05:23 PM

I think it should be fine, it landed in Toronto first then some how made its way over here. I thought they would land here directly. However, I do know some one who has a package from Alberta that still hasn't arrived.

StylinRed 12-09-2021 05:34 PM

Ah cool cool

Maybe I should've opted for Canada Post instead :lol

I just hope it gets here by Christmas, its my mom's gift lol

BIC_BAWS 12-09-2021 05:37 PM

Ground shipping is better now, but still very backed up. We don't foresee things getting back to normal shipping times for another week or two. We sent out packages on the 15th and it didn't get to Ontario until the 30th. So depending on when you ordered and when the courier picked up, it should only be about another 7 business days or so.

If it was free shipping, there's no way they would have shipped it air.

CP lost two packages in a day. CP pretty unreliable tbh and I wouldn't use it except to small towns where the couriers hand off to CP anyway.

lol, yeah, my buddies were messaging me first thing in the morning saying there's a dump and asking me if I'm shoveling. And I looked outside and was like wtf.. there's no snow here.

But we're both in BBY.
