I posted this up on BC Rotary as well, so hopefully some of the guys over there will send a card too :) I hope you don't mind jACE.

So sad... :(

I'll grab card. :(

shenmecar 11-09-2009 12:02 PM

I sent mine last Friday.

For those who have no idea how much it is to mail a letter to the US these days anymore.

Its 98cents.....after tax is $1.03 (under 30grams, which a standard Christmas card is)

LemonH2O 11-09-2009 01:29 PM

Heading out to find a very special card right now!

Dentz 11-09-2009 10:48 PM

Wrote one up last night, and will be mailing it out tomorrow :)

roastpuff 11-09-2009 11:16 PM

Ok, so this is the list I've compiled after reviewing this post. If it sounded like you were going to send a card, I included you on the list anyway; I've based it on the honour system. Thanks to those who actually emailed me/pm'ed me though.. I will be going on vacation for 3 weeks so if you contact me after Nov 16th, I may not reply until I get back.

man thats sad as fuck, i'm gonna mail a card tomorrow. probably stick a couple hot wheels in there too!

tiger_handheld 11-10-2009 07:42 PM

will do this tomorrow.

slightly off topic: its nice to see a community such as revscene, come together for a cause such as this. never would've expected it with all the whining, fails, and e-thugs.
keep it up!

Inaii 11-11-2009 07:12 PM

^LOL! My brother and I were going to get him that card, but we decided on a different one.

unit 11-12-2009 11:01 AM

i was in nyc and this girl had a little table in times square asking people to sign her cards, so i did it there.

van_driver 11-12-2009 05:21 PM

just got back from the mall and sent the card. i'll post pics up later when I can find out how to transfer pics from my phone onto the computer. just to give you guys an idea its a penguin and his arms fold out and say "This much" but i dont remember what it said before that LOL. person at the mailing place said it'll get there in a week!

nickmak 11-12-2009 05:37 PM

shenmecar 11-13-2009 12:29 PM

I can already imagine the amount of Christmas cards the boy will be getting. He said he wanted a bunch of Christmas cards, but he probably didnt imagine it will be this many.

LC21 11-14-2009 12:58 AM

imma make him a card <3

SkinnyPupp 11-14-2009 05:03 AM

Don't bother, this story is 2 years ago, and they have requested that people stop sending cards now.

jACEDesignsLtd 11-14-2009 10:39 AM

Everyone: We are no longer sending out cards.

Skinnypup: 36 cards later... thanks for sharing vital info like this now! :p I hope to God that's NOT true. The email request from the owner of Jellybean Hotrods I got was last week or so. You'd think one could differentiate between a friend's son living last week and having died 2 years ago. But I will inquire this further for everyone's sake. Before I question another man's request for help, can you please PM me links to your sources first. Thanks, SP.

Regardless, I think what's important is that someone asked for help and RS Members responded quickly out of their goodness of their hearts.

And on a personal level, I want to thank those members who did contribute. A few members on the list have "questionable" behaviour on RS forums (don't ask me who :p), but what it boils down to is that "actions speak louder than (internet) words". This shows me, and should show you guys too, that yes, there are RS members that do care when someone needs help.

+Kardboard+ 11-14-2009 10:49 AM

Yes, please keep us posted, chief.
