My car is lowered and I drove it around Ottawa for 6 winters on good winter tires. Yes you cannot go out where there has been a huge dump of snow, yet wait a few hours for the plows to clear the streets and you're fine.
For a lowered car that is running more camber, winters are even more important.

Lol my dad is throwing a few bags of rice in the back of the Z because 6 cars is not enough to get us around in the winter |

so... their 1-3cm prediction of snow was off | You can drive the cherokee if it snows though, it seems like a great beater to me
Well we just got the astra like 2 weeks ago, and yeah next to the X3 and the astra, everything else is RWD, some lowered... some...smart cars
But yeah the Z is the next best car for winter we have cos the ground clearance is pretty high and it's the only one without Performance tires since I just switched back to the 16's, I'm sure if i wanted a set of 16" winter tires would be pretty affordable too for that car
