2.1 is out for the milestone (telus) version, upgraded earlier today, nice to have live wallpaper, and 9 home pages and other 2.1 goodies |

are there any leaks yet as to what telus is going to have to offer in the future? Im considering the droid as its telus' best offering right now, but if a Winpho7 phone comes out next week or something that isnt garbage im gonna be really pissed |

I'm hesitant to buy a phone with a slide/flip out keyboard, I'm thinking they would get loose after a while if i use it alot... |

android 2.2 otherwise known as froyo seems to be where it's at to name a few big features: full flash 10.1 support, open gl graphics improvements, automatic app updates, new JIT complier (apps will run 3x faster) I can't remember where it was reported, but it seems that the BIG thing with 2.2 is that after it's released, android updates will be more far apart, the reason being that 2.2 seeks to fix the brand fragmentation with different phones on different versions of android. After 2.2, individual components will be able to be upgraded separately, meaning that phones will continue getting updates, just that updates incompatible with it's system limitations will simply be left out. Whereas now, a phone must be made to work with ALL the new components of a new version of Android before the update is released for that phone. |
