URGENT! CAN YOU...

Pick up your BCID from somewhere? If it hasn't been mailed yet.
I went in and got one but have not gotten it yet, I need it for tomorrow!
Any idea on what to do?

it's pretty much gfg... if you are in that much of a hurry you can TRY to get a passport made. Let them know what is wrong and ask for a "urgent" service (can be same-day depending on what time you get to the passport office). But unless you got proof of travel (ie: a plane ticket, or a letter from a hospital etc...) it will most likely they will only go with an express (3-5 days)...

Can you use your passport to get into a club? I found it after scavenging the whole house. I'll have me debit card and everything with me, are you allowed to?

you won't get turned back with a valid passport. they just need government issued ID. what better ID is your passport. its almost more proof that you are who you say you are.

yo man, fact of the matter is is that a passport counts as TWO pieces of government issued ID, so rock on.

unless its expired, they may tell you to go away if its expired.

Officially though, a Passport is not considered "ID", it is defined as a "Government issued travel document".

if he is trying to get a passport with just a birth cert/ cit card and nothing else they will laugh at him and tell him to go away

if he has proof of citizenship and secondary ID they MAY be able to do something for him, but passport services are to facilitate travel, not to get into a club or what have you

no such a thing as a dumb question?
this one qualify's..

why didn't you ask the driving centre this question?
and of course you can use your passport to get into a club... that is probably the most legit piece of ID in the world.

I used to work there... you have no idea how many people just bring ONE piece of ID (at times expired ID... like seriously?)

Many people don't have driver's licenses. It's not the only form of identification. As many people have stated already, your passport is the best ID possible.

I've used my expired passport a couple of times.

Wouldn't recommend full-time use though.
