I don't believe your example qualifies as entrapment either.
I think entrapment is where the police put pressure on you to commit an illegal act.
In your example, even though the police are certainly enticing you, there is no pressure from them to make you steal the car.

I was reading about how in some areas of the states some ppl when looking for networks would pick up a certain network whenever a cop was parked by their house... The network usually had something about police right in the name too. If that worked out here it would make it really easy to track police (more so in not so populated areas)

If it was our ICBC Bait Car program would fail.
They basically do something similar like leave a wallet or something valuable in the car to entice the thieves.

Happened to me once back in tha day. I was then busted for speeding, what a prick. Too scared to dispute though (Chinese upbringing) so I just paid it. |

^ don't think you could have disputed it as you could have lightly tapped your brakes or just pull over and let them pass, that's what they would say to you.

Why didn't they just use a PRUIS taxi as a ghost car? I mean not too many people would have guts to try to run away ?

Then again my friend from Timmins tried to wave down a campus security van thinking it was a cab and promptly got busted for having an open beer so maybe parts of Ontario are like that? idk

Maybe in Toronto but I don't see running a Crown Vic around a big city like that to be a good idea (gas wise), either way even the shitty cab companies here (Thunder Bay) paint their cars so I don't think anyone would run a purple CV with no paint or logo or anything.

It'd be entrapment if the cop pulled up alongside you called you a good for nothing ricer that could never catch him in your import piece of shit and offered to race you for your pride or that of your virgin gfs. Completed aforementioned race, and then turned on the red and blues.

Unless you are driving it like it is supposed to it gets pretty horrible gas mileage.. Top Gear did a test before. M3 vs Prius. The M3 just had to keep up with the Prius around the track. M3 made better gas mileage.

It may have a bubble on top like a taxi... but that number is the police, and it clearly says "Police" on the top, not Taxi.

Actually Toyota is only big in West Coast.. it is Ford city out East. Remember Toronto is way bigger than BC. There aren't that many stop and go traffic. Quote:
