Remember, boys, Monopoly pieces expire on the 27th of this month. Redeem by this date.

whitev70r 11-22-2023 12:50 PM

Today, you can get $4 muffin coffee meal for breakfast, $4 Fish fillet for lunch, nd $8 McChicken & Big Mac for dinner. Workers wearing Canucks jersey for the promo ... Canucks must have supplied them with McD with a truckload of jerseys. When the Canucks are doing well, the whole town seems to be in a better mood!

Currently I'm burning through my stash of McCafe sticker cards before they expire at the end of the year. Some of my cards are so old that it only has 6 stickers - haven't used those yet but I wonder if they'll take them.

They will, I just finished burning through my stash of cards just before monopoly was over. Was collecting my cards since 2012 too, so had around 80+ to go through.

Mc Rib is in usa but not canada?.

MG1 11-29-2023 08:52 AM

It’s here!!!!!!!!

The McD at Terminal and Main was sold for development. Mix of social housing, there will be a new McD there but no drive through.

https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/mcdo...-redevelopment

The end of an era is in sight for the iconic McDonald’s restaurant location just south of SkyTrain Main Street-Science World Station at the eastern end of False Creek in Vancouver.

Earlier this month, McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada sold its property at 1527 Main Street to an affiliate of Grey Real Estate Partners, which now has plans to achieve a mixed-use development on the site with secured purpose-built market rental housing.

The new owner is already working on an application for submission to the municipal government. The development is expected to have multiple towers.

According to BC Assessment, as of July 2022, the 1.2-acre property has an assessed value of $73.536 million, with $73.498 million coming from the land and $38,300 coming from the two-storey, 11,100 sq ft structure.

"a retro-style store with treats and customisable drinks including “s’mores cold brew”, “churro frappes” and “turmeric latte” that could rival chains such as Starbucks."

"The proposed menu features of a range of speciality lemonades, blended drinks and teas, with flavours such as “popping pear slush” and “tropical spiceade” that can be customised with tapioca pearls, flavoured syrups and energy or vitamin C shots."

Lol a few days ago I ordered a Canucks Game Day Big Mac with an extra patty (I remove the middle bun, coz you know im watching my diet) on the app.

Pick it up curbside, take it home, and found there was no modification to the burger. Just the standard two patty.

I complained about it via the Contact Us on the McDonald's app and surprisingly they got back to me and gave me 10k in points :fuckyea:

Tried the McRib for lunch today and I didn't know I could be underwhelmed by a McDonalds sandwich until today. The sandwich was the size of 1.5 cheeseburgers and the patty had the texture of a sausage mcmuffin patty. I asked for extra onions and paid the upcharge for leaf lettuce, but i got maybe 3 sad yellow onion pieces and a leaf lettuce the size of a baby mouse (1/2 of the lettuce is shown in the photo below). I got way more lettuce from a junior chicken and onions from a mcdouble.

This is squarely at the bottom of my list for Mcdonalds sandwiches by a long mile. Maybe the location I went to is the problem (Ironwood), but I'm not ready to spend another $7 on this when I can get 2 McDoubles.

mikemhg 01-30-2024 04:52 PM

I dunno why people harp on the McRib.

That sandwich hasn't been good for YEARS now, ever since they pivoted over to cardboard pork pumped with fillers.

The actual patty on the sandwich was much different back in the day when the sandwich came back into the market tied in with that Flintstones movie.

McPizza when? :tears:

radeonboy 01-31-2024 09:08 PM

I think McDonalds should bring the Beef N' Hash Brown burger here from Asia instead.

Looks good but it's black pepper sauce DansGame

murd0c 02-02-2024 08:33 AM

I remembered the Mcrib used to suck but maybe it's better now... Nope I swear its worse than before, the patty has zero taste/flavour the bbq sucked and the bun is too big for everything else. I bought two and ate one and tossed the second one in the garbage.

bcrdukes 02-02-2024 08:55 AM

I tried the McRib during the pilot phase and I don't remember it as bad as some of you guys describe it. The photos radeonboy shared above isn't reflective of the bun size to patty ratio as you described. I'll try it this weekend to see if it has changed.

Gerbs 02-02-2024 09:18 AM

Tried it again 10 years later, solid 7.5

entrax 02-02-2024 12:03 PM

I had it quite a bit the first time it came out, it's exactly the same. I'm actually amazed at how identical it is even at the first bite.

"solid 7.5" is pretty much as accurate as I'd call it too

When do you think is the first time it came out?

Gerbs 02-02-2024 06:05 PM

I recall when i worked at McDonalds in 2011ish it was the first time it came out.

punkwax 02-02-2024 06:23 PM

Close! Just missed it by 3 decades.. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/McRib

mikemhg 02-03-2024 11:54 AM

I pretty much remember it coming out in 1994, for that Flintstones movie.

Fuck, getting old.

SkinnyPupp 02-03-2024 04:04 PM

I think a lot of us remember the McRib being better because we were 14 or 15 years old and all the hype around it LUL

Probably actually sucked back then too, we just didn't know it

I know this is the case with McPizza
