Went to mcDs today for the first time in months. Nuggs and fries were good, holy fuck though, the burger was the worst thing I've had in years. The normally moist and sweet bun was like a month old used smoker puck.

StanleyR 10-05-2017 09:06 AM

Anyone know when the new coupons are coming out?

Haven't seen them in months!

fliptuner 10-05-2017 09:59 AM

I got some in the mail around Sept 20th

Hit and miss..... no consistency. That was the thing with McD's - it was always consistent.

On average, food has been going downhill, but the other day I ordered a Fillet O' Fish at the location near Toys R Us in Coquitlam and man, it must have been the best I've ever had in decades. The fish was crispy and everything was perfectly centred, with just the right amount of sauce. Buns were dreamy.

I always order a Filet O' Fish meal using the survey coupon and bring along my Playland Beast cup and get large size drink with medium fries all for under 5 bucks, including tax.

BTW, the mailer coupons expire on the 8th. Then Monopoly starts.

I was a McD's fan for the longest time. But since the recent spike in prices (literally $8-10 for a meal), I slowly crept towards Burger King.

Can't go wrong with $1.99 - 10 piece nuggets
and 2 for $6 - mix and match burgers, (Fish, Chicken, and/or Whoppers!)

Their junior chicken sandwiches can be had as a meal for under 5 bucks.

What the fuck?! Even translink rates only went up 10 and 5 cents for adult and concession respectively.

Why the fuck did mcdouble go up 30 cents. That is fucking upsetting. Boycott McD. Take away the fucking TVs and fancy schmancy interiors and just stick with wifi and stop inflating the god damn prices. I am outraged. They need more costco $1.50 hot dog and refillable pop.

$17 today on lunch.

10pc nuggets
2 cheeseburgers
1 mctaster
1 large fries

no drinks

I think it's a bit absurd to see the regular prices after only using coupons when theyre out

winson604 10-09-2017 12:26 AM

I've essentially eliminated McDonald's from my lunch option at work now because the prices are way too close to better food. For example I can spend around $10 for a combo and barely be full or spend around $12 for let's say Pepper Lunch or a Bento Box (rolls, Nigeri, chicken teriyaki, Ebi sunomono) is just a couple examples both of which is more than a regular combo but we're talking within $2 give or take. Fucking no brainer now.

Plus the one thing I've always hated about McDonald's is how many items are so hit and miss when it comes to freshness. A &W and Wendy's for example I've never and really I mean never had anything that wasn't hot and at least felt like it was just made. At McDonald's you roll the dice with nuggets, fries, burgers, everything. Even during a busy lunch where the turnover on food is high it doesn't make a difference.

Inflation sucks balls.

Even look at Food Court prices. Everything went up at least $1-3 making meals an average of $10.

Cray Cray.

God bless Parker Place for not over-inflating and providing me with $7 rice/noodle options :fullofwin:

mr_chin 10-11-2017 03:54 PM

Anyone went to the states to get the new Szechuan sauce? I heard it was a riot down there and apparently, some were sold on ebay for $100+ a bottle.

Mr.Money 10-12-2017 01:08 AM

I agree, it is absurd. I try to avoid McD's if there's no coupons. Considering how terrible I feel after eating, I should really avoid it, but there's just something about those damn fries!

The difference b/t healthy expensive food, and unhealthy expensive food (McD's), is how you feel after it. Healthy food will leave you feeling better overall.

corollagtSr5 10-20-2017 11:30 AM

Lol before you can get a mcchicken patty for $1.20. Price might have gone up to $1.50. Good alternative to chicken nuggets lol. The crispy chicken patty used to be 2.00 but now it’s $3.00 lol

chin3se604 10-25-2017 12:04 PM

Second time now when using the coupon from completing the survey and got an entire 10 piece for free. Some cashier have no clue what the coupon really is for. They think is a free meal.
