^ from what I have read, the LF-A is Toyota's Porsche 959....supposely it costs over $600K to produce each LF-A, hence they are capping production.
The 959 originally sold for $250K back in the day (cost $350K to make). They produced more and sold them for $500K to weathly collectors (paul allen, Bill Gates, Ralph Lauren)

I thought Toyota said they lose money with every LF-A they sell??
Toyota losing a couple hundred thousand on each LFA is nothing to them, considering they wasted billions on their F1 program with no results to show for it.
They didn't do too bad last season.. it takes ages to build a F1 team.

I saw it at the Detroit Auto Show up close, I really liked the car but LEXUS really screw you over with the stupid plastic exhaust tips like on the IS-F. For such an expensive car couldn't they engineer an exhaust into the bumper with actual real exhaust tips?
I bet when an LFA pull up by the night clubs, people would be all over it and they would ignore your little Lambos and Ferraris. Prestige or not, people get bored when they see Lambos and Ferraris everyday. Now people won't see an LFA everyday--unless a retard get to own it and rip up and down on Robson.
It's not the best bang for the buck but Toyota is only building 500. I think they could give a fuck if someone, who aint got no money to ball, like it or not.

do u even know the REAL reason WHY the actual exhaust is disconnected from the chrome tops on the bumper?

yo man they packed a big engine into the size and weight of a v6, then turned around and only made a few of them.. and created the sickest user car dash experience ever.
who wouldn't buy one if they have a fat bank account, it's got the perfect high tech video game race car feel.
It's just like another VW Phaeton, but way overpriced. On Top Gear even the GTR beat it in the quarter mile and track time, for 1/6th of the price or so. Hammond said the only thing good about it was the engine sound and the LCD panel.

It won't be like VW Phaeton because I'm sure LFA will actually get sold out despite its price.
heres how things work, if a super car is limited production any rich guy would wanna try to buy it cuz its rare
if this car was not limited to 500 i bet u a lot of rich chinese guys would buy it like crazy just like the audi r8 (shits popping up everywhere in richmond these days)
I went up to a cute chick and asked her if she'd let me take a photo of her for $30 she slapped me, she said to me that "I AIN'T A WHORE!"
But other than that I have seen every car on display in DTP just by cruising about in Richmond, thank you very much for collecting them together and get someone to sing a cover for "fuck you".
OH FUCK YOU OH OH OOOOH~

i dont think it's the best looking exotic car out there but it's hardly a rice rocket, rather an engineering feat.
yeah..looks like the engineering effort they put into seems just as much as Ferrari or Lamborghini...if not more. Perhaps almost as much as McLaren F1? LOL
I'd still think McLaren F1 would be superior, but LFA is pretty impressive. There's something different about it.
Christian Chia has one....and Open Road Lexus took delivery of at least 2-3 LFA's by now.
.........Jim Pattison got jealous and decided to get one for its showroom too:
That means there's at least....5 in BC right now? Out of the 10/ Canada....
Edit: There's a double decker bus in the background...I'm guessing this photo is from Hong Kong. But its's own Jim Pattison's own facebook page (link) did say: "Watch out Lamborghini! The newest contender to the supercar market has arrived! Check out the cutting edge Lexus LFA on display at Jim Pattison Lexus Northshore!"
It's not expensive to a person with millions of dollars to spend just on cars, and this car is aimed at those people. It's not like it was produced so many that they are sitting at some dealership not being able to get sold.
