yea man not impressed by the Thrustmaster at all, especially since they've never really been in the simulation wheel game on the level of Logitech and Fanatec.
This is like basically fckin Kia coming out with a sports coupe trying to compete with a Porsche and wanting $100k for it.

I'm copping the new Fanatec GT2 that's being released next month I think, shit will work with Xbox 360 and PS3, so I can have one wheel for both Gran Turismo and Forza

yea the only thing I hate about all the Logitech setups is the fckin brake pedal, it's an issue that's been raised by sim racers for years now and Logitech still hasn't done shit about it. You press it around 20% with your foot and you're already well over 90% of your full braking zone.

I've owned a DFP, a DFP GT, a G25 and a G27 now and they all have the same shit pedals unchanged after all these years. The gas pedal is nice and smooth, the clutch is ok, sometimes it gets annoying cuz you may have to depress it fully, but the brake pedal is horrendous.... it's why I never play with ABS off

Finally beat the RX7 Tsukuba event... increased downforce and lowering the height did the trick. Although I believe the MNP R34 also had an incident cause it wasn't trailing/being blocked by another car on the last lap. The white 300zx was seen passing a corner as I passed the finish line

B-spec mode is like watching paint dry for me....instead now I get to dictate how slow of fast the said paint is to dry.

Anyone hv any input for the nascar seasonal race? So damn hard for some reason. Only thing I can think of is I'm not familiar w/ the course since it's new to me. All the other one's I had no problems in couple tries.

Am I doing this rev match heel toe thing right? I think I'm a little off but it is effective as I am able to knock off a few seconds compared to the normal way.

The Focus and RX-7 Seasonal #2 events are kicking my ass. I can get second, yet am out of first by 20+ secs. With Skid Recovery Force on I can get within 7-8 secs.

I have both cars maxed out and tuned, probably need a slightly better tune.

The Nascar Seasonal #2 event is only hard to do 2 clean laps. I haven't beaten it cause I touch the grass on lap 2 and spin then restart. I need to do this event when I've had a couple drinks and am relaxed pushing too hard I end up on the grass.

Logitech G25: forgot how much I paid for it. It was years ago.
L Brackets from Home Depot: $5
Nuts and bolts: $around 5

That is correct!

I just have a Logitech G25, took the pedals out of the casing, flipped them upside down and mounted them on some L brackets I found at Home Depot.

May look cheesy but I don't care, they rock! Especially with the Honda sticker!

Two steps ahead of you! I already am along with an e-brake handle but I had to pause the project as my new puppy got sick over the holidays

But he's all better now and I can continue. I'm looking for something where I can make the "floor board" wider.

^ Damn, I was going to "attempt" to make my own stand with a car seat but it seems like so much work, lol. How is the centre pole? I originally didn't buy a playseat cause I thought that pole would be in the way.

Pole is not in the way unless you have large muscle like legs or something then it might be a problem, haha. It's pretty stiff as well. Once I get a larger house and perhaps a dedicated entertainment room I might build my own cockpit based on my Prelude or my future NSX-R
Just same dimensions, I'm not going to bring in a parts car and use the center console and dashboard haha, although I have seen some like that and does look pretty neat.

Before the play seat I made my own cockpit out of PVC piping. Screwed it all together so its sturdy and just mounted an old OEM Honda seat I had. It laid on the flat on the floor so I left like a low rider It was pretty easy to make as well.
I might have some photos of it somewhere, I'll check.

If you're buying new? $320ish for the g27 unless it goes on sale. Which seems unlikely for a bit considering the ridiculous demand.

You can buy a fanatec GT3RS + standard pedals + shifter set for $280usd+shipping

Which according to most reviews is a better wheel than the g27 wheel.
