do i have to be level 30 to receive and drive the x1?
I am level 24 and I got a guy willing to trade me a x1 for a xjr9. Would I be able to use it or do I have to be level 30 (35?)

What else do you have? Think anything better than a M3.
Have you not completed the seasonal events? You get ~$2M of credits for each, so with $4M you could buy all these cars!

People are doing the save game trick to gift their X1 to a fake account, then gift it back. The fake account would not be level 30.
You might want to confirm what races it is allowed in before trading. People were disappointed the F2010 and F2007 are not allowed in most races.

^ there's two different types of steering wheel players in this game, the hardcore sim racers and the casual players.
If you're having problems passing tests the first option I would tell you to go too and this is the one most people don't even know about, you go into the options, the steering wheel options and you have to choices for your steering wheel, one is simulation and the other is not, so make sure it's not set on simulation and then offcourse you got your assist options that are always available at any point in the game.
I'm somewhere in between personally, want a simulation style play but not at the cost of having to drive an F1 like Schumacher in order to pass a test, I don't have hours to kill out of my day trying to get gold on something.
