Question regarding 15$ personal email plan on Blackberry 8900

So right now i'm with rogers and have been with the My 10 plan for about 1.5 years. I'm paying about 35$ a month. I was wondering if it was possible for rogers to waive the system access fee of $6.95 for me and in exchange i will sign up with the 15$ unlimited personal email and IM plan for BB? Would i also be able to get free called ID from them too:D

Is it better to go to a store to ask or just call the customer service line?

Thanks!

Been talked about before. Good luck on getting them to waive that fee. In store, they can't really do anything for you. Neither can customer service. You need to talk to retentions to get this done. And even then, not likely to happen. Others may have better info to chime in though.

retention seems to really be a hit-or-miss type deal

some people can get fantastic deals, while others are slightly better than your regular plans

they will waive the system access fee even if you dont sign up anything lol. I was able to waive the system access fee for both my lines under the same name when they came out with no SAF plans.

this is probably a really n00b question, but how do you get transferred to retentions when you call them? you just say "I'm thinking of switching networks, transfer me to retentions?" cause I'd really like to get that SAF waived as well. freakin rip off

Tell them that you want to cancel your plan. Keep in mind that every time you do this, you are taking a chance (a small one) of a retentions agent calling your bluff.

The best way to deal with retentions is to JUST BE HONEST and not make cancellation threats.

and KEEP CALLING becuz you will never speak to one person everytime.
works like this

CSR #1 welcomes you from Burnaby, transfers you to CSR#2 in Toronto then transfers you to CSR#3 in Calgary. Its like phone tag across the nation

keep in mind, they are not linked very well.

you can google the retentions number, its the easiest way.
I was lucky I got a good deal the first time I called in I guess
