the kingsway/imperial dealership is now a mitsu dealer. i wonder if that is an improvement.

with the reliability thing, my lancer is about 2-3 years old. so far so good however the real test is 4+ years.

Went to Wolfe Mitsubishi in Langley a couple years back with my brother when he was looking for a new car. Tested the Lancer. The salesman was nice, but my god the car was horrid. I couldn't get over the fact that my old MK2 GTI had softer plastics on the dash and various trim bits than the new Mitsu. People bitch about American cars having horrid plasticy interiors... well, this thing made a freaking Cavalier's dash look like a pillow.

4. AWC reflash (fucks when the diff fuild is below a certain tempt.)

There are many more TSB, but those were the 4 official recalls. I have yet to do 2 of them...w00t.

watch that hood fly open on ya.

Mitsu is making their cars to a price now....Nothing like my proper 90s JDM import that has soft plastic EVERYWHERE and full auto climate control with LCD, factory navi (mine got ripped out, but it's standard for the VR4 on the catalog)homelink and shit, putting German cars to shame.

Remember your car is one of the first model year.. it is not uncommon to have issues especially with ECU programming due to Vancouver weather.

The key is how the company and the dealers deal with it.

You want a car that doesn't have as many TSB, wait a few years.

Its good you pointed this out, because not a lot of people are aware that there are many rough patches to hammer out on a first year model car. Especially one that is on a completely new platform from the chassis, engine, and the drivestrain.

call around and ask how much they charge. It should be a standard rate between all the dealerships.
