anyone know a good bmw website for trans. rebuild kits or trans. swaps?

e36 my buddys trans went so its cheaper to buy a used one

contact local shops on BCBimmers.com One good thing about BMW is there are tons of indie shops.

e36 transmission can be easily rebuilt.

my friend was quoted over 4k to rebuild or something which i thot was bs

Lol you can buy a used E36 5spd transmission for $500 any day of the week if you keep your eyes open.

Again go to BCBimmers.. plenty of indie shop.

If your friend is dumb and grenaded the transmission, and the shop wants a rebuild it from scratch then yes.. it can cost up to 4k.. but mostly in labour.
