lovely day to ride today. even better when you I received my wiggle order
Can't believe the sale price for the Shimano 105 pedals. Purchased the DHB Bib shorts, socks and long sleeve jersey to take advantage of their sale. The shorts fit great but the long sleeve jersey is slightly baggy on the arms. (6ft 180 pounds). My arms are not pinner size, so I would image people who with cyclist build + my height would have difficulty with DHB jersey sizes.

I think we rode past each other today. Were you riding on the sidewalk on the south side of Burrard Bridge just outside the Seaforth Armouries this evening?
Edit: Just checked your Strava - nope.
Edit 2: Ouch.

Anyone with a gf that rides a road bike? I got my gf one last season, and she's just starting to ride longer routes now. Took her from Richmond to Stanley park and back last week, and just did a half UBC yesterday after work.
It'd be cool to ride with other "couples" LOL
I'm looking into a new saddle and I think i'm going to try and go rent the Fizik Antares for a couple days and see how it fairs.
If it's possible, get some feedback from your fitter before making a commitment to buying or renting a saddle. I had to do that before buying my Selle Italia Flite. I thought the Specialized Toupe was the best shit ever until after I broke in the saddle, and then yeah, it all went downhill from there.

rode in to work today and actually broke a single sweat because it was so warm!!
(wearing my normal commute gear of levis', base layer, jersey, windbreaker)
That extra $46.00, I could buy a Fizik clip in saddle Pak and new bar tape and STILL get some change back for coffee!

Yeah, the price difference between UK and NA is like a stab to the gut with a twist. Certain brands are kinda funny like when I looked at my Selle Italia Flite. $160 taxes in through Pacific Multisport. In the US, it was floating around $120 to $140 plus damn $10 shipping to Blaine, I figured it wasn't worth my time to save $10 or so. Through the UK sites, it was the same prices plus 1 - 2 week waiting period. I said, fuck it, bought it through John @ PMS and got the seat fitted.
Edit: I switched to a 3T Ergonova handle bar with BBB cork tape - I was able to hammer down an extra 10km/h on the flats going onto the drops along Great Northern Way. I would have struggled to hit 30km/h with my old setup using the Easton EC90 SLX3 handlebars. The drops were too shallow on the Easton bar. My top speed was 41km/h!

I think SRAM in general fits smaller hands better.
How old is the Tiagra setup? I ask because my Sora setup on the Cinelli surprisingly is a bit smaller compared to previous year setups and so far, so good. It's a 2013 model year. My 2011 Ultegra setup gave me a load of problems. 105 was just as painful.
I priced my Rival setup through Competitive Cyclist and it came to $620 shipped to Blaine (sans cassette and chain - I already had one.) Got lucky and didn't get taxed. Apex wasn't that much less, IIRC. If you want to get an idea of groupset pricing, check this site out - Sram Groupsets - Shiny Bikes Ltd. I ordered my Campy Veloce groupset with them and got my order in a week. Had to pay taxes only. (Their site looks sketch but they've been around for a while LOL!)
I know this won't be interesting but figured I'd throw it out there. I'm tearing apart the Sora setup on my Cinelli and will be replacing it with Campy (for fanboy sakes.) If you're interesetd in testing out the Rival or Sora setup I have, give me shout. I'd be letting go of the Sora setup for hella cheap. (Edit: It's an 8-speed setup lol)

We got her bike last year, its a 2012 Specialized Dolce Elite, has what they describe as "New Shimano Tiagra STI" so im assuming its one of the newer versions.
