Call in advance and see if he can book you in for the same day. It's that time of year where everybody is getting fitted, buying bikes, or getting servicing done (this applies to all shops.)

PMS is in the process of a move so John may be busy or unavailable to answer phone calls.

Oh, and like someone else mentioned, tires/tubes will make THE biggest difference (provided you've already been fitted). DAT ROLLING RESISTANCE . But most of you guys barely have a season under your belt of hard riding, what's the rush in upgrading so quickly? I paid $87 for my Conti 4000s and 5 tubes and they have been the best pay off ever. I'm riding heavier now with a pump, saddle bag, 1x tube, patch kit/lever, and multi-tool and I can kill my last year's lap times in half up climbs and what not.
hey neighbor, can i join? haha

well anyways. i just recovered from food poisoning over the weekend. did a ride on sunday morning to whytecliff. on the way back i took the hwy to try climb cypress but barely got to the exit and took a diff exit to get home faster. for some reason i wasnt feelin myself and when i got around to downtown area i decided to take the skytrain back to 29th station next thing i know the whole day sunday i got a bad fever and diarrhea. rested whole day monday and tuesday. shitty exp. shitty saturday lunch.

ride sunday morning

I rode an Antares on the SuperSix I demo'd, I was in regular shorts and it was very comfortable. Mind you I only did around 10k but I wasn't screaming like I do with my stock saddle for 5k.

And I'm buying a second set of rims so I can run 23c tires for weekend rides. Should be around 600-700g lighter for a complete wheel set This is out of necessity because I'm wearing my CX tires down way too much with my weekend road rides. SO don't bitch about noobs buying wheels when we don't need them I do agree that legs are first and foremost when it comes to riding, bicycle components are second.

604- Look for white lithium grease in a squeeze tube. Works great for everything!

bcr- I'm in for a BBQ and tune.

Dude, you're a monster because polar bear.

I'll set set something up. I should have a bike repair stand by the end of the month. We can all compare shifting smoothness and accuracy over beers and BBQ.

Bcrdukes is actually john from pms.

Conspiracy!!!!!

Best upgrade for me out of everything was probably handlebars. Bombing down hills at 70km without feeling confident in the drops... No bueno

He is moving literally around the corner from where he currently is, taking over the old Solly's Bagels. He isn't fully move in yet, not until for at least 2 to 3 weeks. He just has to deal with the contractors and the city because that location was occupied by Solly's for such a long time, nobody ever bothered to check to see if it was up to code. He's had to make room for the new tenant of the place he's at so time/space is a big issue for him at the moment.

Let's just say...I spend too much time there.

Does anyone know if the Ultegra Di2 Upgrade Kit would fit the 105 crank and cassette?

The upgrade kit only includes the shifters, derailleurs, wiring, and electronics.

Yes...and no. Anything 10 speed should be compatible, but not according to Shimano. People have made it work though. But if you can afford Ultegra Di2, you can afford an Ultegra crankset and cassette.

Yeah as mentioned above shimano may say some parts aren't compatible but you can always make it work. Only catch is that it may not work 100% as well as it was intended.

I'm probably going to get the Feedback Sports Mechanic stand.

My bike is at Point Bob! It's been delivered!

But I don't have enough time to go get it before Saturday at the earliest... and even then I am fairly busy.
