FYI - if any of you guys buy Elite bottle cages, do note that their cages only work well with their own bottles. I learned the hard way.
It does not like my Camelback and no-name brand bottle.

WUT!? For real?!
They've been so far very stubborn with my two non-elite bottles. I got the Elite bottles recently because they were like $4 and change (and it was time to get new bottles.)

double = two big chain rings, triple = three rings.
if your rear cassette is a 10 speed, then a double would get you 20 speeds and a triple would get you 30.
imho i'd stray from the triple, you don't need that much gearing in vancouver.
note that the geo's on the two bike are also VERY different! the specialized looks very relaxed and the caad is more aggressive.
just depends what you're hoping to use the bike for, what you like and what feels right in the end!

Looking for a bike to get started into road biking, nothing hardcore yet... The price and the build of that Specialized bike looks okay to me.. 56 is my size for specialized.
Will probably hit la bicyclette tommorrow to see if they have any starter deals.
Another noob question, should I invest more for road bike shoes? And do road bike shoes fit smaller from regular shoes?

To those of you who met me for the GPS units today, thanks for being patient with me! I had to scramble as some of the stores had ghost inventory. Keep us updated with your GPS tracks - add me on Strava!
For the rest of you guys... see you Friday! The rest of the stock should be in by then.

On a serious note, where do you get these? I wouldn't mind building a nice classic Colnago.

Something cool I just noticed about the sensor on the chain stay (GSC10) is it blinks green every time the wheel magnet passes by and red when the crank arm magnet passes by. Pedal fast and it looks like a disco going on there!!
Edit: Finally read the instructions.. it's only supposed to do it for the first 60 times.

No problem guys, glad I could help out.
Right now I'm just frustrated that I don't have enough time to go and visit Point Bob to grab my bike and various gear packages. They are just sitting there, mocking me about not having time! Grahhhhh.
I'm also going down to Portland this weekend for the long weekend, so no bueno on the weekend pick up as well. Argh!

Anyone got any opinions on this trainer? Marked down from $249 to $149 as a WOOT sale Pro Series Fluid Bike Trainer
apparently it uses the same components as higher end trainers
