I'm not so sure about acceptable depreciation, depends upon the bike. Some bikes turn into something collectible, or are rare to begin with, etc, so thus will fetch a higher amount.
Depending on your budget & size, there is a '09 Kona PHD sitting at Jubilee for $999. Race geometry but with flat bars. Should be slightly quicker than your current Kona .

Thanks that bluebook is pretty sweet haha. How is Kona nowadays? The last time I looked at new bikes was when I bought it back in Deep Cove (and it was still made here).

Hey, if you tell John that I referred you (Mike, with the Guru and CAAD10) he might try to help you out.

And yeah, most likely that's 2013, not 2012.

kayceeee 05-24-2013 03:21 PM

so i've decided to go ahead with the boyd vitesse. after reading about it and reviews and looking around at a few different wheelsets, i went ahead with it.

so it should arrive in a week or so. will give a review later on :D

This.

Perhaps, if you can pay by cash. John, might even sweeten it up for you.

Good luck.

bcrdukes 05-24-2013 03:48 PM

Had I known, I would have messaged you! :D

I did a fitting the other day and had the cassette swapped over at the same time. Should have let them do my tires (did it myself but destroyed 2 tubes in the process.) #HipsterFail

that was my original plan, go in for my fitting and bring the wheels/tires/tubes and swap the cassette and get it all done in one shot lol.

dat_steve 05-24-2013 08:18 PM

finally put on all my parts on the caad10
took it for a quick spin to dial everything in

next up is to chop the steerer tube...that thing is a hazard to the man berries right now.

Threw on the Michelin Pro 4 Service Course tires onto my wheels earlier. I didn't take them out very far, just around the neighbourhood and back home. Here are my initial thoughts:

- These tires absorb/mask road shock and vibration better than the Michelin Pro 3. The difference isn't significant but noticeable enough.
- Lots of grip (but this could also mean prone to punctures - only time will tell)
- Low, smooth rolling resistance yet provides a good, solid ride

I find that these are a good compromise between the Michelin Pro Race 3 and Continental GP4000s, but closer to it's Michelin predecessor. Again, keep in mind that I only took it around the block so I haven't really broken the tires in nor have I done any hard riding on it with enough mileage.

Price Paid: $36.12 each from Wiggle (just the tires themselves)

Other details:

- Tested on a 2012 Cannondale CAAD10-4.
- Reynolds Solitude wheelset
- I had the Pro 3 tires on the same wheelset earlier this season (now on the Guru.)

I'm a little biased but I like these over the GP4000s. :)

Edit: dat_steve - Beautiful bike man. :sweetjesus: :fappery: :shefap:

kayceeee 05-24-2013 08:47 PM

cant wait to throw these pro race 4 SC on the boyd vitesse, hopefully i'll notice a difference with new tire combo/boyd vs the current rs10 with schwalbe lugano.

@dat_steve awesome bike! good looking wheels too. slammed stem :sweetjesus::sweetjesus::notbad::notbad:

dat_steve 05-24-2013 10:04 PM

you'll feel the difference for sure. i found the flex of the rs10 to be so brutal

Just got my CRC order today. Ordered on the 21st, got shipped on the 22nd. Super fast shipping! I ordered the Michelin Pro Race 4's with the 2 free tubes and a Kryptonite Evolution S4 Lock to put me over the $99 free shipping threshold.

However I had to pay $30 bucks at my door... people beware

kayceeee 05-24-2013 10:24 PM

wow thats super fast lol.

that sux tho that you had to pay, i've made now 3 different orders, ranging from 100 ish to 250 ish, never had to pay any duties/taxes
