^ Fill a guy in who knows nothing about TT bikes... What's wrong, hipster bars, lame-o seat post, painters tape for grip tape? What else is there, or am I way off? haha

roastpuff 05-25-2013 12:08 PM

The angle... how does he not just flip over?

I noticed that, but could you do it the normal way with those bars? Just a goofy looking bike overall. haha

You guys are so mean. The grip tape is Bianchi team turquoise colour, its not painter's tape lol.

TT bars dont drop, and they use TT specific brake levers and bar end shifters. TT bikes are all about aero, forward biased sprint positioning, and front ends as low as possible

^ agreed! I could have used that Specialized in the triathlon I did this morning!

The Bianchi though, he should have went with real aero base bars instead of chopping his road bars, and keeping the STI shifters. Something like this:

Hot shower felt great after a day in the rain. I need to lube my chain badly now.

how often do you guys clean your bikes? like frame, and drivetrain, degreasing it and lubing it

every ride? after certain amount of km? or does it depend on type of riding, like in the rain vs in the dry

604CEFIRO 05-25-2013 06:41 PM

I'm pretty anal and wipe down the bike every ride and wax it with pledge or any spray wax I have left from my car detailing stuff

Keeping ur chain clean and lubed will help prolong ur cassette and chainring life.

I don't degrease and relube the chain every ride tho. Depends on if it rains, if it squeeks, etc etc. but if it rains I will always dry the bike/chain

Went out for my 3rd ride last night since getting my bike. Two things that I probably need to invest in are a bottle cage/bottle and gloves.

Don't think it was one of us, as it was a female, but none the less...very sad story.
To think, I just rode around that park this morning, and was back there again this evening, and to see nothing on the Lions Gate Bridge, it was kind of eerie.

604CEFIRO 05-25-2013 09:53 PM

Very unfortunate

Looks like she fell off the side of the curb and got struck by a bus
