I usually plan my routes out as well and end up going to some place like a community centre or a coffee shop and ask if they're okay with watching my bike and/or bringing it in with me. If/when I commute and bring my lock with me, I'm never more than a few meters away from the bike anyway so it's visible 100% of the time. |
^yup, no one cares if you bring your expensive bike into a large public urinal and put it beside u lol if they ask, just be like "yo it's like 5g's bro cant leave that shit outside" |

Hehe. its not like you're walking through a shopping mall. Most places you're probably stopping at are in public parks, so it's normal for spandex clad ppl clunking around looking goofy |
Are there websites that help you plan out bike routes? Booked my fitting with John from PMS next week. He's a great guy! |
^ dope! i should have my wheels on wed, gonna drop it off with my bike on thurs, bike fit on saturday! cant wait. |

slowguy needs a bike. :hotbaby: Edit: City of Richmond City of Burnaby - PDF Map Turns out Translink already has a list of the cycling maps - http://www.translink.ca/en/Getting-A...ling-Maps.aspx |
Hey everyone, I was thinking of biking the Seawall/Stanley Park. Just curious, how long do you think it'll take to bike the whole thing casually? Thanks! |
Last time I rode my hybrid around the Seawall/Stanley Park at a casual pace, I think it was about 30 - 45 mins total, starting at Coal Harbour. |
^ depending on how busy, i would say around half hour? |

Anyone recommend a good bike lock? Something under $100. Posted via RS Mobile |
Kryptonite u-lock of some kind with their cable to lock your wheels. The evolution line that bcrdukes posted above is pretty good. Posted via RS Mobile |
i can't remember the last time i've had to pee while riding. i think my body just goes into survival mode lol |

im looking to get some tools to maintain my ride, mostly taking care of the drivetrain, chain/cassette and chain rings. what kind do you guys use and where did you get them? im thinking i'll need a chain cleaner, degreaser solution and some lube? something like this. Park Tool Chain Gang Chain Cleaning System - Cap's Westwood Cycle, pedaling good clean fun for 80 years thanks |
