Oh the rapha focus one? Looks kinda candy cane like hehe.

I'd love to see it in person... For ~$35.00 for jersey and shorts it's pretty hard to not test one out. I'm sure it'll last at least one season before it starts to deform or seams start to go.

For $35, it's hard to complain about what you get, especially for both bib shorts and jersey. I will admit that the material isn't Rapha stuff (I wish) nor is the stitching/workmanship but I suppose it's a compromise.

So far, no issues with it. Sizing is a little weird but the chamois is pretty awesome. Probably the best one of all the bib shorts I have LOL!

You can ask the person via live chat. They quoted 2 weeks (15 days) via the Free Shipping to canada.

I've previously paid for the EMS service, which came in like 10 days... So this time I'm just going to wait the extra few days.

Their time estimates on the Free Shipping option is between 15-30 days.

I also asked if Free Shipping included tracking, and they said yes. So we'll see. I'll post again once they process it.

The total i paid was $35.00USD incl free ship.

i would cry if i ran over my oakleys

kayceeee 06-26-2013 12:31 PM

get the fakedarlocks lol ^

i only contemplate because of the lens, not the frame, i could careless if the frame was real or fake, but just the lens that come with it, dont want it to negatively impact my eyes if it doesnt really protect it from uv rays etc.

What would you recommend for sizing? +1 or true to size?

bcrdukes 06-26-2013 12:39 PM

Follow their sizing chart. It worked out for me but your mileage may vary.

604CEFIRO 06-26-2013 03:36 PM

I wonder if there's a way to test the lenses?

Because cheap glasses are available for retail everywhere. Just bc glasses are cheap or fake doesn't mean there's no uv protection

These days knock off items are very good quality. But I do understand the concern.

I'm gonna try to fit genuine lenses in there.

Well, FML.

I found a 2010 Argon 18 Radon for sale on Craigslist. Just as I go to the bank, take out the cash money, I get a phone call only to learn it sold.

So right then and there, I told the teller to just deposit the money again. :okay:

Was gonna ship this bike down to LA too. :fuuuuu:

Black/white/grey'ish located in West Point Grey. Did you buy it? LOL!

Which STI shift lever are you looking for? I think kayceeeee has a set of 105 shift levers for sale.

:speechless:

Jokes aside, congrats on the buy! Argon 18 makes great frames! (I only really wanted the frame LOL! I was going to strip the bike, sell the group and throw on a SRAM Rival setup.)

In case you ever decide to sell it, I want it! :fullofwin:

Edit: I think kayceeee's levers are 5700.

dink 06-27-2013 09:52 AM

bcrdukes 06-27-2013 03:29 PM

Ah, okay. I couldn't get a hold of the guy selling the 2011. I'll have to try again. I'm glad this worked out because I didn't want a Shimano setup hahaha! :D

Just got back from riding in the shower that passed through Downtown. Wore the Assos rain cap and Pearl Izumi Pro Barrier WxB Jacket (discontinued.) Both kept me dry and I didn't overheat. Great products. Highly recommended. A+++

This is the only Pearl Izumi product I own but general consensus from more experienced riders and shop owners claim that PI's higher end stuff is pretty bomb proof. It ain't no Rapha but their products certainly are up to snuff, if not, beyond. Lifetime warranty too.

dat_steve 06-28-2013 08:35 AM

i have that jacket too. super comfy.

feels like you're wearing nothing at all...nothing at all...nothing at all...
