I'll try a knee brace too. I might need a specialist :/

Is it possible your derailleur is bent itself? Or is the teeth on your jockey wheel worn? Or make sure it (the jockey wheel) is secured in there, as I had a bike where it was sitting pretty loose and the chain kept slipping off.

Get well soon.

87 km in the books today with a buddy training for Ironman. My longest ride of the season by far, and of course he picks a route to maximize hills :P Legs were jelly by the end but I felt fantastic all afternoon and evening.

Time to try for the century mark!

No way man. It has to be. :troll:

Joke's aside...keep riding! Climbing Cambie up towards Oakridge used to be a nightmare for me. Now it feels like a casual ride! :D

So it was Rapha Women's 100km ride today, and I helped my girlfriend complete it by being her lead out train the whole way haha.

I'm pretty proud of her. It's her first 100+ km ride. She had a blast and set some PRs

Actually out of curiosity, which saddle did you have before and what is the difference between the old one and the one you posted above? I have a Fizik saddle that came with the Argon 18 but I'm having a hard time identifying it (I'll post pix up later.) It doesn't "feel" bad on short rides but I can't really tell yet with so little saddle time.

And also, do you use chamois cream? LOL

Wish I had Tiagra.
:okay:

Gotta say I've officially outgrown my hybrid; Road bike or save for a year of school in Japan. Hmmm...

604CEFIRO 07-08-2013 04:33 PM

My last one was an antares and I think it was 141mm wide. The antares was very flat, a bit wide for me.

The arione is 130mm wide, instead of being flat it's kind of like more of a hump.

I don't have wide sit bones so the hump shape and 130mm wide doesn't make my sit bones uncomfortable.

It also has wingflex, slits cut out so the sides flex if ur thighs are pushing against it the sides of the side pressing against your inner thigh will flex downwards instead of being stiff.

I use chamois cream on every ride. On anywhere I chaf and on certain seam areas

Rapha cream is awesome. Smells really nice, consistency is perfect, kinda thick white cream. Goes on tingly.

Assos cream doesn't really have much of a smell. Slight menthol tingle. Goes on well but doesn't compare to rapha cream. Doesn't look well mixed when u put it on your hands.

Both jars will last a couple months at least. Mine lasted about 6 months.

Ok cool.

My cousins bought me a Rapha travel kit so I'm using the chamois cream although I'm running out and it works quite well. I'm assuming La Bicicletta sells it? I was looking at the Assos one but I think I'll stick with Rapha. It's the only thing that makes me feel better about my 21km/h average speeds LOL!

604CEFIRO 07-08-2013 04:46 PM

Butt lube is butt lube. After an hour of sweating it all feels the same

But I can definitely say my bibs smell excellent after 4-5 hrs in the saddle lol and also after it comes outta the wash after using the rapha chamois cream

It's like a lavender smell

Yes. I know u smell ur chamois pads too!. HAHAHAHA

Damn :(

Have you done any sort of physio work? I had stiffness in my right knee for the longest time. I'd walk around and there would be a lot of discomfort in it. There'd be times where my knee would "crack" and it'd be the best feeling in the world.

I went to a few hot yoga classes and my knee pain went away.
