Got it for the same price as you. It's an awesome ride! Only done 300k on it thus far, but already itching to do some upgrades on it! :/ Though most likely I won't be able to tell the difference.

I've got a Kona Hahanna in a size 52 (or was it 54) if you're interested.

$100 takes it. Tuned up and ready to go. New seat too!

(Pretty much looks like this without bar handle extensions.)

My CRC order came in yesterday, just over a week after ordering. Everything went fine and smooth. I got hit with $23 in HST so far plus 8.50 brokerage with Canada Post, not surprised but I seem to be in the minority with CRC orders and having to pay tax. Had I shipped to Pt. Roberts I probably would have been able to bring the stuff back tax free

My wheels were out of stock when I placed the order which I knew already but the ETA got pushed back another week to early July, so I may cancel those and look around locally. They were supposed to ship everything altogether so I only get dinged with brokerage once but at least this way I can start putting everything together I suppose.

When you get down to the nitty gritty, yes. But for all intents and purposes, no.

I bought a mountain bike helmet on sale and ripped off the visor and suddenly, it's a road bike helmet. :fuckthatshit:

Was thinking of Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels and Continental 4000s tires. About 800 grams in weight savings!!! But for the additional cost I could of bought the Tarmac SL2 Comp. I would of but I wasn't digging the red tires. Looked better in pics.

Decided to challenge myself today.

Started at Iona Beach and rode all the way to Steveston Village and back. Total time, including a water + snack break was 1 hour and 30 minutes on my Scott hybrid.

I even managed to snap a pic when I got back! :D

Wykydtron 06-17-2012 08:16 PM

I'm rocking a Gary Fisher Triton single speed in the baby blue/white combo. Love the thing to death. First road bike. Bought it back in March as a door crasher at a tent sale. $300.

what route did you take to get down to steveston? Are there any backroads which are quiet or did you have to go down the main roads?

Well, for starters, I went from Iona Beach towards Miller Road. From Miller, took a right down No. 2 Road. After the bridge, I cut through to a small path towards Lynas Lane. From there, south on Lynas Lane to Granville. Right on Granville which turns into Railway then all the way down to Moncton Ave.

The route I took has dedicated bike lanes. I once tried taking back roads but they are bad to ride on or have too many stops. The main streets with bike lanes are fine in my experience.
