Have you bought from AliExpress before? How are they (ie: shipping, customer service)? Where are they based?

Advance Thanks.

If you take a look at a few pages back, 604CEFIRO has ordered from them before and he posted his experience. I have never ordered from them. I believe the vendors are based out of China.

I would have asked but I didn't want to take such a huge risk ordering a large dollar amount haha This was just to test the waters.

I talked to 604CEFIRO regarding the Radarlocks and he said that you should be fine as long as you buy from a reputable seller with a lot of positive feedback.

dat_steve 07-15-2013 07:01 PM

tempted @ the fakarlocks too now DAMN IT

604CEFIRO 07-15-2013 09:22 PM

i gotta find some time to get to metrotown. i wanna see if real lenses will fit the glasses

i think i deserve to only wear fake glasses because i dropped them off my head already over the weekend but no scratches on the lens :)

Wormiez 07-15-2013 09:30 PM

I got two pairs of fake oakleys from AliExpress supplier Aimee Sun. Transaction went well without a hitch.

Although I have not tried a pair of Fakelys, just testing the optical clarity between the run of the mill glasses @ MEC and my Radars and Fastjackets there is a notable difference.

Putting that aside (since the frame is just injection molded plastic), my other concern would be the ANSI rating. Oakleys and other certified manufactures have tested their lenses to be shatter proof to many degrees. Sure the likelihood of your glasses shattering as rocks are pelted at it buy some ricer running Yoko A048 or a large truck are slim, I'd prefer to mitigate those dangers all together. Buying Oakley/certifed lenses give you that protection (but so do some cheaper manufactures).

For me, it comes down to genuine protection and excellent optical quality. The caveat here is that I only spent $70 for my Radars and a grand sum of $0 on my Fast Jackets with 3 seperate lens (including transitions which are awesome, BTW). YAY for benefits!

No idea what ANSI rating is but after my first pair of glasses got run over I shot the lenses I had left over with a buddies air soft gun and they didn't shatter or splinter or whatever.

If $9.95 sunglasses from the Bay are safe enough to wear, so are china made sunglasses.

But I respect ur point.

You are right tho the frames are just plastic not comparable to genuine at all

I may be down for Sunday

If u do go, when ur in west van on marine, take 15th st up and then the highway.

:fullofwin:

No fruity Chapstick and leaking Gatorade or the bees will fuck u sideways.

The last few times I went up there were tons and tons of caterpillars walking across the pavement getting smushed.

ANSI xx.xxx Is just some sorta protective rating.
Like I said before, I got my Oakley stuff for cheap/free so I have zero complaints. If I had to pay retail? fuck that, :lawl:

I'm down for Saturday morning ride to Cypress. I would be heading out form the Kingsway/Boundary area. I can't do Sunday :(

dat_steve 07-16-2013 09:03 PM
