About 2.5 mm... Er actually exactly 2.5 mm difference in length.

That was the smart aleck answer. Basically you should select crank arm length based on the length of your femur.

In general bough sprinters and track cyclists tend to like longer crank arm. And climbers and high Cadencen spinners prefer shorter ones.

Heads up then Will, Clif bars on sale at London Drugs for $10/10. I just bought a bunch for future rides.

Good luck with the self-flagellation!

Check out Unfi's Saturday morning market as well, they distribute organic foods. I've seen boxes of Clif bars and other comparable stuff go for $5/box. They are typically getting a few weeks out from the best before date, but this stuff doesn't really go bad anyways. I think hours are 9-2pm Saturday, they are just behind the Home Depot on Bridgeport.

Lots of other cheap food too

if anyone's looking to join the Caad train:

Cannondale CAAD9 4 (Size 52)

i wouldn't offer anything higher than 1k given that a 2012 10-4 would have gone for about $1500

That guy has had the ad up for quite some time. He's probably banking on the hope of someone with a Cannondale product boner to sweep it up.

The asking price is a tad high, IMO.

I emailed him yesterday for a friend offering him $1000 with explanations that this years CAAD10 is going for $1500 minus a $100 manufacture credit and he said the lowest he'll let the bike go for is $1450.
I'm thinking that there should still be room to bargain in person though.

I would totally pick up that CAAD9 if the price was right. This way I'll have two in the stable.

People like this drive me nuts... you present them with clear, well thought out logic on why your offer is reasonable, and they just put their head in the sand and ignore it. Like $1450 for a used 3 year old Caad9 vs a new Caad10 for the same price? Does he really think there is somebody who for some reason would choose a used old one over new for the same money?

Mc.Jolaika and I's Alibaba "Rapha" kit arrived today. Overall not bad quality (jersey/bib) and the pretty decent padding on the bib as well. Can't beat the price of these kits

Next on the list is the Condor Kit..haha

Haha, man, after testing that bike on Cannondales demo day at Westwood Cycle I want!
Feels so much better than my 6-7 year old bike I picked up on Craigslist earlier this year.
Have me seriously contemplating a big upgrade at the end of the season. Hopefully catch year end sales or something.

Finished the triple crown today.

From Kits area it took about 5 hours

Hardest ride i've done so far. most meters in one day.

used 4 gels, 2 granola bars, 1 gaterade, and 1 coke mixed with water.

did a bit of gravel trails too near the dam which was nice.

I actually felt okay after grouse, since grouse is so short.

I was having second thoughts half way up Seymour though haha
