Looks like the bike share program might get scraped as the company that was suppose to provide the bikes is filling for bankruptcy. Uncertainty surrounding Vancouver's bike share program | News1130 Posted via RS Mobile |
well Bixi is bankrupt, Devinci was supplier of Bixi bikes, meaning Devinci built bikes for Bixi. If i recall, Devinci is committed 6mil into bixi program i think |

First ride this afternoon since October. Ouch…. The "It never gets easier, you only get faster" line is certainly only accurate when you ride often. Certainly slower and still the same pain. haha |
^ Who wants to supply me with a welder? Someone else can assemble. Revi Bikes will be born. haha |
Can't wait to wrap my bars [edit] so I got hit for duty/tax for the first time. I guess I've been lucky? Ordered $75 worth of stuff (tire, bar tape, two tubes) from probikekit but customs invoice pbk declared $135.00 Got taxed $16 http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/...psszshmuiq.jpg Posted via RS Mobile |
That looks like good tape. I'm in desperate need of changing mine. |
+1 on those bar tape! |
that is some dandy tape heh is it cork or sim. leather? |

Same thing similar happened to my co-worker. He ordered a sale-priced saddle from PBK and when it showed up, the invoice showed regular priced. Got nailed for duty, taxes, and brokerage fee (but still came out on top on the cost of the saddle.) |
kask mojito bros (might just be Will lol), what size do you normally wear with Giro? |
Bell/Giro - I'm a medium. Kask Mojito - I wear the Small/Medium or whatever it is. |
Yea I think my kask says sm/md on it just like dukes. It's either sm/md or l/xl size choice. Bc of only two sizes available, for me it ran smaller than my giro medium. But it fits my dome well. Posted via RS Mobile |
bit the bullet on the helmet and some radarlocks (220 on amazon woop) |
Nice! $220 for both? Good deal if so I'll be riding Monday starting in the morning if anyone's got the day off Posted via RS Mobile |
220 for the Oakleys,190 something shipped for the helmet. Had a good few days in the market so I treat myself hehe Posted via RS Mobile |

My first century of the year. :woot2: Bike Ride Profile | CVC ride from Bean Around the World near Vancouver | Times and Records | Strava Awesome weather today btw |
Great job! Man I get mad jelly watching the groups of 20+ ride around I'm Richmond on Saturdays. I saw EV group out today while a client was test driving with a client. As long as I'm on the sales floor I will never get to ride Saturdays :( Posted via RS Mobile |

OMFG I SUCK BAGS AT WRAPPING BARS Lol. Literally up till 4am rewrapping it over and over. Don't even feel like riding cuz I'm so tired hah Why is it so hard to get the tape to lay flat? As u wrap around and overlap the tape, it always bulges and doesn't lay flat. Hard to explain Posted via RS Mobile |
i think that's more or less unavoidable unless the tape is specially shaped to lay flat. the cinelli tape i had before was shaped so that one end was thicker than the other to make it 'flat' as it wraps around the bars. for the record i suck at wrapping bars too hah |
So I finished it just now. Second side took me 10 mins instead of four hours. I think I was fatigued last night at 4am and must have been full retard Posted via RS Mobile |
