Yea just think of it as an emergency fender for spring/summer on your nice bike.

It latches to the rails under the seat. It takes a few seconds to put on.

You can also fold it and mount it hidden under the seat, you won't see the tail stick out it'll just be hidden.

It will keep your ass dry 100%, but it does nothing for your drivetrain, feet, or anyone behind you :)

I got one of those ass savers, straight from The Bike Snob himself at a book signing. It's got AYHSMB on it, and if you read his blog, you'll know what it stands for. :hotbaby:
It's ok in a jiffy, but I think most people have a saddle bag under their seat to hold all the essentials so it may interfere. And in a shower, you're going to get wet either way. If you've got some heavy duty flexible plastic, you could probably make your own, feel free to trace mine.

I always hated saddle bags. Half the time they sway like a nutsac and the other half of the time it makes jingle jangle sounds which totally irks me. It makes me feel like something's loose on the bike.

Mini pump, tube and two levers rubber band together, and a multitool in my middle rear pocket. Plenty of room left for food, phone and jacket if needed.

Also I took mine off cuz the edge of the bag would make contact with my thighs and it made my bibs pill

Ah, maybe you should try out the Topeak AeroWedge one. Pretty secure, and I wrap my co2 cartridges, mini tool, and levers in some old inner tube to solve the noise issue. On a couple other bikes, I use a bento box on the top tube to split the load and to carry nutrition. Especially in a triathlon, since I'm not wearing a regular bike jersey, and need to carry everything on my bike.
I try to limit what I carry in my jersey, but yeah, personal preference.

Anyone want a Profile Design Aqua Rack? Used, but in good condition. Will fit seatposts up to 28.0mm dia. Great way to carry more hydration on your bike, or good for smaller framed bikes that can't fit a bottle cage.

Might be a dumb question.

But for those that have the garmin edge and have the cadence and speed sensor on the frame and crank, when you wash your bike do you just leave it there? I know it's somewhat waterproof but just in case before I start hosing down my bike rather get wiping the frame with a wet towel.

Nice! Today was great weather to ride in. Sunny but breezy.

I wanted to test my legs today. Haven't rode whytcliff or cypress on a standard crank and 11-26 cassette.

Anyone using the Specialized Toupe or Romin? If so what width?

Looking for opinions on the above saddles, the Charge Spoon I'm using is getting uncomfortable in longer rides. =(

I've had same problem with my saddle/bike shorts
la biciletta help me to measure my seat bone (fits 143mm width saddles)
but I think everyone's seat bones are different
you will have to try saddle testers to know for sure which one is for you

I started off with the Toupe.

I don't recommend it as it is only good for about 6 months, then the shell's firmness deteriorates. It's okay at first, but once the shell is done - GG.

I'm using a 143 Romin Expert. Can't comment on longevity because its only been a few months but so far its been very comfy. Its not the lightest out there though.

Only thing is I didn't get to try a Romin Evo (LBS didn't have one) but I may have liked that a little more since it is supposed to give a bit more support when in a more aggressive position.

Thanks guys, I'll look into the Romin. Being heavy I'll pass on the Toupe.

Could you guys recommend a LBS that has variety of saddles to try out?

finally took advantage of the little amount of sun after work to finally clean my bike and lube the chain. gotta start getting back into riding, only one ride this year in feb :(
