So, the Sugoi Warehouse sale is on RIGHT NOW! Today, tomorrow and Sunday. Get yourself over there if you need more biking/running gear! I just got back from there, but restrained myself. New this year is Sombrio (Since Sugoi bought them out), so plenty of mountain bike attire and shoes as well. Shoes are a good deal at $45 a pair or 2 pairs for $80. Some example of prices are, $10 Gloves, $10 arm/leg warmers, $5 Hats, $5 socks (including some wool socks!), $50 jackets, $35 Sombrio pants, $35 Sugoi bike shorts with chamois, etc... FYI, most Sombrio items are samples, so most are Size L.
I might head back on Sunday to save an extra 10%. Location is same as last year, in Burnaby, off Winston near Burnaby Lake, McConell Court. Google it, or look for the sign along Winston. There were approx. 150 in line when I left at 2pm.
Happy Shopping!

Awesome! Thanks dude... Do you know what time they open?
Oh shit I should geta pair of leg warmers and mask. Riding in the cold the last week sucked balls
Sunday was the best! No line up, and extra 10% off Sugoi items, but extra 50% off Sombrio items! I sorta feel ripped off for all the stuff I bought Friday, since those items were still there on Sunday, but oh well! Shoes for $20 on Sunday, I could not resist and had to pick up 2 more pairs!
My AFC gave me an ABS CEL code of LOL while at WOT!

Damn I wish I had the time to go. Still riding in the cold this morning. Worst part is frost and when the sun comes up to melt it, it makes the bike gross.

Do you need a pair of full leg warmers still? I have a pair of Sugois you can have. Not new, but like used only once. Let me know.
Spotted: I think mc.jolaika + 1 heading eastbound on Kingsway, just past Victoria at around 1'ish PM yesterday.
That would be my riding group. I couldn't ride on the weekend cause I had my wisdom tooth pulled out. But yah, they were probably heading back home from their Saturday club ride. Were you riding too?
Sugoi Piston, compression leg sleeves. Not fleecy/fuzzy on the inside. Has the thigh grippers on top. Size L, because we all have thunder-sized thighs.
And if you're looking for another sale, there's the Icebreaker Merino Super Sale this weekend downtown:

*Buy $100 on Saturday and get 10% off on Sunday
*New stock available daily

Picked up their house brand Travel Trac Fluid Trainer for $130 USD shipped to my door (run the risk of duties but its CanadaPost and I'm not going out to PR for one thing, so I'll take my chance).

I believe Performance Bike ships using USPS (not UPS) to Canada. I did ask their customer service before and they understand UPS was cost prohibitive to their Canadian customers. Mind you, I asked last year so I hope their shipping policy to Canada has not changed.

Bad news is Performance Bike now uses UPS. good news is UPS seems to have cleaned up their act and lowered the fees.
With USPS/Canada Post 50/50 I'd get duties, for UPS 100% and this time it was $31 for duties, taxes, and brokerage. Not too bad considering Performance Bike charges WA state tax, plus the gas and the $4 fee for P2P Parcel in PR.
Just FYI, I was recently dinged with duties from receiving a package from Chain Reaction. My total was $118.xx and my duty was $32.xx!! Last few times I ordered from them, no duties...just luck of the draw.
It seems like with Chain Reaction if you go with their free shipping option, which uses Canada Post, your chances of getting taxed are lower. Did you get charged duty or tax? Majority of bike parts are duty free, and only subject to 5% GST. If you got improperly charged duty and/or PST, you can apply to have it reimbursed.
I got charged both duty and tax (GST/HST). Value of goods was $118.95. Duty was $15.46. GST/HST was $6.72. And then Handling Costs was $9.95. This is from the Canada Border Services Agency.
Yes, I went with free shipping.
I would check with CBSA website to verify if you're goods were subject to actually subject to duty. If they aren't, you are entitled to a reimbursement and can fill out a form and usually reimbursement takes about 2 months. Unfortunately you are stuck with the GST and handling cost though.
