Does anyone happen to have a 4 prong free wheel tool that is something close to the parktools fr6 and have a 2mm freewheel spacer they can spare? Hopefully, yes please :)

Yes, I have a Park Tools FR6 you can use, but I don't think I have a 2mm freewheel spacer, but will check when I've time.

ZN6 07-13-2015 12:15 AM

Aw damn, i got impatient and just bought one with two 1mm spacers since i need to ride to work in the morning. Well on the bight side if anyone else needs to borrow a fr6 i have one now so i can lend a hand as well.

That is one fucking shitty way to end my day. Fucking amateur, should have stole my fucking white industries freewheel and omniums, they were worth more than the fucking bike.

ZN6 07-16-2015 05:17 PM

God damn, i didn't think they'd want shitty tektros old ass wheels and old ass everything else. But damn.

That really sucks bud. Hope it wasn't a huge financial set back. At least the frame and rear wheel is still in tact.

Lesson here is, if u have to lock your bike up outside for a long period of time, ride something that's cheap and not attractive. Also lock your frame and wheel together like all the bikes next to you (you only had the frame locked). Use a secondary cable lock to secure the back wheel to the ulock.

The bike on the left have quick release skewers and looks like they tried to take that but it's locked to the frame

bcrdukes 07-16-2015 06:48 PM

Ouch.

Where was this at?

dat_steve 07-16-2015 06:49 PM

that's fucked dude, where was this?

ZN6 07-16-2015 08:23 PM

Cordova and thurlow-ish. It's the parking lot right underneath the rennaisance hotel. The place isnt locked off. Some guy with a new giant defy had his rear wheel stolen. I's a crime spree around that area at this point. 3 people had their bikes stolen from secured cages that require a key card. So i guess i am lucky to walk away with the most expensive parts of my bike intact. I literally just replaced my old cracked toupe 143 with a new one and they stole it.

That's the thing the bike isnt even expensive but i guess these fucks steal just about anything these days including my sweaty ass helmet. Somehow i wish i had headlice so they get that shit. The bike paid for itself and more from not having to take transit anymore. So it's not a big hit at all. I can get another quite easily. Just annoyed and pissed.

dat_steve 07-17-2015 07:51 AM

i feel super violated whenever my car gets broken into, even if nothing gets stolen lol

ZN6 07-17-2015 08:21 AM

They need to enact a law that chops of thieves' hands once convicted. But we all know Canada is soft. My brother's Integra in 98 got broken into. The only thing that was missing was a 1/3 pack of stale excel gum that sat in the car for 2 summers since the car was new.

That was the most expensive $300 4-piece pack of stale gum ever stolen. Worst part was that there was that the damage is just 20-30 bucks over the deductible. Petty thieves are the worst scum on the planet.

dton13 07-17-2015 12:09 PM

That's super shitty, totally feel for you. I just gave my friend an older phenom 143, or I'd ask if you want it.

Worst part is that thefts can happen to anyone, no matter what bike it is, or how you try and prevent it.

604CEFIRO 07-17-2015 03:33 PM

New shades today and it's gorgeous out :)

Wow, that is messed up. Sorry to see this!
Doesn't matter how old or what it is, thieves will take anything.
Got to ride an old junker if you're downtown, and pretty much expect it to get tampered with. I see shady characters walking around with nice bikes all the time, the other night, I see a homeless looking guy walking with 2 bikes! Pretty fishy..

Doesn't matter if your parts are bolted down, they park their junker bike next to yours and pretend to be locking up their bike, but actually are using their multi-tool to undo your bolts. The public walking by will never notice, or just turn a blind eye unfortunately.

Your front end was probably way easier to jack. Undo 1-2 stem bolts, stem cap, and the whole front end just slides off. Probably took the guy 30 seconds. Whereas rear wheel would need a bit more fiddling with

Maybe time to upgrade to that dream Langster now? #heatscore

What are your guy's thoughts on this color/bike?

http://brimages.bikeboardmedia.netdn...Di2-blue01.jpg

dat_steve 07-22-2015 01:16 PM

is that evo with 105's or ultegra?

if i had a choice, i'd pick a Red/Di2 spec'd caad 10 (or 12 now i suppose) over a lower spec'd evo

edit: aksium wheels so it's probably 105's
