Nice bike! Don't lock it outside.

That being said, cheap strap on fenders don't work well in my experience. And there's no blanket solution for fenders. All frames are different and require some creativity. Have a look at some SKS race blades or crud mudracers, or w/e if you want some road bike specific fenders. I wouldn't give up so easily.

btw fenders on my curvy spesh frame, one benefit of disc frames:

Very nice! I have a slightly older roubaix. What fenders are those? I have the roubaix without the zertz that go to the edge of the fork. Is that a 10r or 8r frame?

I just picked up a 97-98 Spesh ground control FSR, it's boss as fuck. 33.8 lbs, gearing makes it climb like a beast. Super slow on the descent but overall, this thing is still a good bike. Picked it up for 180 and I see some people still selling them used for well over 250. I think I picked up a pretty decent deal.

Yah, never leave it out of your sight, even with a bike lock, it will most likely end up looking like mine.

:okay::okay:

Speaking of which, is anyone looking for a langster frame? I am selling the frame completely stripped by itself if someone is looking for building a cheap fix/SS with horizontal drop outs.

I'm keeping the omniums.

azncreationz 09-30-2015 08:28 PM

^ what size is the frame and price? Might know someone interested.

56cm, looking for maybe $20? It's got some nicks and scratches here and there, and the last guy put some groves in it. All A1 aluminum. The frame is straight and does not creak.

It'll essentially be a bare frame with a seat clamp. Will also throw in the rear tektro brake if wanted.

Its an 8R frame with SKS Longboards. You can have a look at the sks race blades that have a skewer attachment...but I have no experience with them so YMMV.

Hello specialized groundcontrol. New daily. Already flipped the stem and slammed it.

From the roubaix to this thing, feels like jumping out of a miata into hummer

Hey guys,

I just bought a 2014 Specialized Secteur Sport Disc. This is my first road bike and I wanted to use it for light trails, ride to and from work, and ride around Greater Vancouver and hope this will the only bike I would need.

I am very new to this and would appreciate it if someone can guide/show me links for maintenance and basic things I should be doing to maintain the bike. Things like tire repairs, lubrication of components, etc.

Much appreciated!

Global Cycling Network (GCN) on youtube is all you need my friend. Check out their "How to" and "Maintenance Mondays" playlists. It'll have everything you need to know.

Last big project for the season. A massive wall ride to honor a high school student who passed away two years ago in a car accident.

how do you find riding fixed without foot retention? can't do any sw8 skidz bruh

ZN6 10-21-2015 09:52 AM

Never road with a belt drive, how is it? I'm guessing not noisy like a chain drive? I'm curious.

604CEFIRO 10-21-2015 05:08 PM

you are only classified as elite if you have straps and no front brake...

clearly there's a front brake...

also, -points for straight handlebars vs. drop bars... and the stem is like a 80mm... 100mm minimum for points :)
