Are you looking for shorts without the bib straps? Or bib shorts? For a budget of $100, you won't find much in terms of mid end cycling brands (ex// Castelli etc) You might be able to find generic stuff from MEC, that may be your best bet. Or, shop on wiggle.com and buy their house brand DHB, which is decent quality. But still, most of their better shorts are $100-$170. If you are a casual rider, less than 100kms a week then go buy some inexpensive shorts. If you do more mileage than that, invest in some decent shorts |
For those that asked, the shoes have been claimed by rsx10! Happy riding bud :nyan: |
Saw the banner for the Vancouver Bike Show ... is this new? Worth it, you think? Home - Vancouver Bike Show |
dang, my front hub seized today. Front wheel started to make noise, then I'm like wtf... then it just wouldn't move no more. Bearings were done, stuck together... getting it fixed at the shop. Never seen it happen before. Lucky it was at the end of the ride; took me like 4 minutes to ride from 20th to 22nd hahaha |
Just getting around to the Ti frame I picked up in early November. Nice details on this frame around the dropouts and such. https://abload.de/img/17-02-02-16-17-13-581ltqwy.jpg |
How much did you get the frame for again? |
IIRC it was right around $900 shipped landed. I honestly cannot recall the exact amount. |
Your saddle is pretty much slammed to the back. Did you get the right frame size? :p |
Haha. Just slapped everything on! I'm getting around to fitting everything, but no motivation seeing as I have to wait a few weeks for bartape. I really wanted a long discontinued colourway of brook's perforated leather bartape, so I had to order through ebay... ebay global shipping program  Since I'm cheap the fork has an alloy steerer tube, as you can see in the previous photo my stem shows the steerer, so today I picked up some gun blue. If you sand down the surface layer of an alloys anodization it oxidizes the aluminium into a pretty nice gun metal grey/black. First time using the product, but it came out pretty well. (Can you spot the mtb stem lol) https://abload.de/img/img_20170213_223427_68vp4e.jpg |

Had some nice weather over the weekend. Nothing like mashing up hills to wake you up. It's still muddy and gross out there. http://i1161.photobucket.com/albums/...213_113847.jpg The first one was totally worth the trip: http://i1161.photobucket.com/albums/...213_121051.jpg Felt kinda sick after the second one. |
Nice you were able to take advantage of the weather. I think I have 55km on the new bike since I got it... Like 3 months ago? |

started the daily commutes by bike again. then it's going to be freezing again by the end of the week. WTF |
Since no one asked, ZN6 where is that donut from? |
Honey's Doughnuts in Deep Cove. It's not the standard doughnut batter, it's dense and will mouth fuck you with sugar. One is enough, don't get greedy like I did. |
Honey's Doughnuts basically a dougnut shaped cake. :drool Fit the bike since last time, and de-badged the frame and wheel set. Also wrapped the bars tonight, so she is ready, but of all things, I don't have any spare end plugs LOL. Good thing the weather is so bad... I think it's time to stop riding the single gear for anything more serious than commuting. Ugh. This thing takes so much out of me. |
What do you guys use for ride data tracking and for navigation? I tried Strava for the first time today and thought it would have turn by turn navigation. Seems like it would make sense to have it :/. |
Garmin all the way, i think the 820 + 1000 is the ones with navigation 520 doesn't. to be honest, unless you really need it, but after 10+ rides, you'll know the route Turn-by-turn guidance does happen for 820 & 1000, the 520; for courses you have downloaded from your computer |
I use an edge 820. If you get lost it will actually recalculate to your destination rather than just point you back to the general location. It's a nice unit. Just no sd expansion. If you don't need the wifi, or real time routing, 520 is good enough |
Dropped the price on my Size 51cm Cervelo S2 with SRAM red down to $1500 Holllah! https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rch/bik/6082601370.html |
