I would die if I went 85km/h :fuckthatshit: |
56cm Caad 10 for $1200...if it was my size i'd seriously consider it. the seat, stem, post, and bars alone probably add up to ~$300-400. 2011 Cannondale CAAD10 4 Rival with Upgrades |
^ I saw that. Mad jelly. Damn it 56cm! :okay: But SRAM Rival + Force crank. :sweetjesus: :ahwow: |
yeah! it's a great spec'd biked for the price. What size do you need? |
52cm |
^ I was thinking of grabbing that bike but it's one size too big as I need a 54cm. :( Posted via RS Mobile |

MEC has some saddle bags, I'm personally using a Topeak Small Wedge. Otherwise, like the other poster said, carry all your stuff in your back pockets of your jersey. |

If you're new to the bike/saddle, give it a few more rides and see if your butt breaks in, or if your saddle breaks in. Yes, it may hurt, but it might get better. Otherwise, another saddle 'may' work. I try to buy a new saddle whenever they're on sale to give them a try...or try trading with a friend/co-worker, etc.. |

then i take my wallet and phone in the back pockets same with an extra tube, pump, tire patch and levers, thinking if i should get c02 as well. |
So i had a weekend off and did a lot of google research... From now till next summer, I think I'm going to start piecing together a road bike using a china carbon frame / hongfu frame aka 'chinarillo's ... lol A lot of info is out there about these, and majority of the ppl who have built one almost have nothing but positives to say about them. Anyone on here put together a bike before? or had seen these types of frames? Some threads for info.. 604CEFIRO, You can probably get a nice carbon fiber frame from BikesDirect.com for $500 - $600 or from Pedal Force in California. The quality control is probably a lot better but I guess the bottom line is, the frame will probably come out of the same factory as the higher end bikes out there anyway. :D |
Just out of curiosity why buy a cheap carbon frame for $500-$600 when you can buy a high quality aluminum one that often actually ends up being lighter? For example... CANNONDALE CAAD 9 FRAME SET CARBON FORK 54 CM | eBay |
how many of you guys are going to be riding into the fall/early winter? first time doing it for me so it's a bit intimidating. |
Damn you, lowside67! :D Thanks goodness it's a 54cm. :troll: |

Arm warmers, base layer, jersey, wind breaker, knee warmers and gloves for me every morning when I ride at 615am. It's chilly in the morning. I got some merino jerseys and base layers from www.torm.cc which should be arriving soon. I also got myself a showers pass elite 2.1 eVent jacket for when it starts to rain (refunded my showers pass trainers jacket). Posted via RS Mobile |
oh cool i was about to pick up the showers pass elite too. keep us posted on what you think :) i rode to work today with just a base layer, jersey, arm warmers, and my levi's commuter pants. legs were warm but upper body and fingers were cooooold. |

^ The Rapha jeans are SOOOO nice. Saw them at La Bicicletta but damn, so expensive. :p |
Yea la bicicletta is where I first saw the rapha line. EVERYTHING rapha is expensive lol Classy look tho. Not all logo'd out gear I walked out with a sweet rapha winter hat for $35. Can't wait to use it hahahah Posted via RS Mobile |
there are always sales on the levi's commuters somwhere, whether in store or somewhere online. not hard to pick up a pair for less than $50! those outlier get ups look sick. wish they didn't break the bank and then some though lol i'm going to start riding to work in my wingtips like the dude on the site. swanky. |
I just ordered some bright red Levi's Commuter pants for $31! Also, here's a cheaper alternative to the Rapha jeans: swrve — CORDURA® Skinny Fit Jeans |
^^ where'd you order them? and do they have anything else other than red? hehe |
