How much was the seatpost? I ask because Pacific Multisport gave me a pretty good deal on my Thompson Elite seatpost, close to, if not, on par with the UK sites.

(Edit: Oh shit, it's cheap. I paid maybe $20 more. )

$90 is a pretty good deal considering if you were to have it shipped from fleaBay, you might get raped with duty/taxes.

I can assure you that the Reynolds are a great setup, especially for the price. I don't think the Easton or SRAM wheels come close in weight and especially price. Your stock wheels are probably high 1800 grams, push it to 1900 with tires and tubes. The EA50 goes for $200 on Wiggle and are a claimed 1785g. Not much of an "upgrade" in my opinion. $550 for the EA70 on Competitive Cyclist and still a 1709 gram setup.

Edit: Pair the Reynolds up with a set of Michelin Pro Race 4s or Continental GP4000s and you've got an excellent setup and successfully shave off a pound!

For Wiggles, is there anything I should be aware of for shipping to in Canada? I am ordering a bib, wind jacket and pedals.

yea the michelin tires on crc around 60 some odd dollars for a pair and free tubes lol

yea my wheels now is 1844 grams, plus the schwable tires.

the easton are around 390-430. so might be bit steep for wheels at this moment,

btw my reference to sram was to convert my drivetrain to sram lol, should have been more specific lol, but im itching to convert to sram.

Have you weighed your wheelset? They spec the pair to weigh 1550g, but front wheel weighs 703g and rear wheel is 930g = 1633g?

The Easton wheels are a expensive for what they are. These are still the best bang for buck wheelset IMO:
Azonic Techlite Alloy Wheelset > Components > Wheel Goods > Road and Cross Wheels | Jenson USA Online Bike Shop
You don't get a fancy name, but they are light, stiff, reliable based on reviews. CRC was selling these for around $350 shipped previously, but they are sold out there.

Yes, I did, on an industrial weigh scale. They were about 1552 or 3 grams.

The specification of the front and rear wheels were weird. I forgot to weigh them individually unfortunately.

i mean theres nothing wrong with my 105s

im looking at some deals, 600 or so for brand new force group, shifters RD/FD brakes and the red chain, no cassette which i can get on crc for like 60ish dollars, no crank either but i guess i can keep my fsa for now, then pay someone to get it installed/tuned. lol

Oh, I saw that deal but the fucker doesn't reply for some reason. Tried to get a hold of him so many times too.

Gave up and just bought a Rival group from Competitive Cyclist for $620 (sans cassette and chain as I have an extra one.)

yeah hopefully he'll respond. I wonder how much of an upgrade I'll feel by switching from 105 to force. Other than it being lighter. I think it's about 400 grams lighter. Without counting the crank.

For sure the feel/shifting actuation and feel of the hoods. I found that it requires less effort to shift up and down using Double Tap as opposed to my old Ultegra setup. The throws between shifts are shorter and shifting precision is very precise. Then again, this is a personal preference. I know some people who start out with Shimano, try SRAM, end up going back to Shimano (nothing wrong with that but they are the minority I've encountered.)
