As much as i love online shopping... i think i might have to consider using the LBS's saddle rental service to see if certain saddles fit my ass... lol
But man do i hate paying that premium dollar for stuff....
agreed. i also won't be the type to try out a top shelf product like a saddle in store and turn face to buy it online.
the main selling point of the arione for me is that it's so long and the shape is very neutral (no dramatic bulges on the side like the antares or big cutouts in the middle), which allows for lots of different seating positions
Had a pretty dangerous situation occur with a car2go driver on Stanley Park Drive today, shot off an email to car2go with CoV and VPD cc'd. Got the license plate saved, but man it might be worth it to invest in a gopro or something for this shit.
Spoiler!
Dude came up behind me honked like an ass, then passed within half a foot, pulled over the perpendicular parking spaces, waited for me to pass, accelerated and then had the passenger motion and me and yell that he should have ran me over.
Funny, I experienced the same thing riding the stanleypark loop.
But it was a truck... basically the person screaming at me say "get on the side walk". I guess people that drive that area a lot know that there's a bike path and expect all bikes to ride only on that path...
At least you didn't get hurt.

Oh yeah for sure, this is not the first time for car2go users on that road, which is why I decided to pursue it. Generally I find drivers to be pretty respectable on Stanley Park Drive. Posted via RS Mobile
Funny question... For those who have gotten more fit because of cycling, have any of you experienced getting head rushes, light headed, when standing up / changing positions too fast?
I get headrushes / light headed a couple times a day. I do get up quickly, whether it be from sleeping in bed and getting up, or sitting in my office chair and then getting up... sometimes its pretty bad, like i gotta stop and hang onto something.
I'm 30 now. Consider myself pretty fit. eat clean. But man, these headrushes are making me feel old as shit!
I googled it and Positional Hyoptension keeps coming up
just stopped by pacific multisport, john is such a nice guy. way better than other stores i've been to, *ahem* caps(westwood cycles) lol
pretty chill guy to talk to. and i saw your bike(s) there mike. sweet rig!
so he's actually moving around the corner(next door) same building next week, so he wont be doing any fittings. but he said he'll try to fit me in to get my group installed.
he said normally a bike build is about 100 for a bare bike. but since i have to get my bike stripped and then installed he said it'll be around 200 give or take and he'll charge me like around 50 or so to get a fit as a package.
and i asked since a friend of mine wants to do a fit as well, he said he can do it for like 75- 100, no more than 100.
thanks for the referral Mike + Steve.
he kinda knew when i said friends referred, he asked if i was friends with mike lol. and then pointed out your bikes.

LOL! Glad he was able to help. I bet the trip out to Vancouver was worth it!
John's definitely a great guy. For such a low key shop and one-man operation, he does pretty well for someone who doesn't advertise nor have much in his showroom. $250 for bike stripped, rebuilt and fitting is NOT bad.

yeah it definitely was worth. For a small shop I can tell they really get their business with their service and he really cares for his customers and business. And word of mouth just like how I knew and was referred to it.
Yeah the price we haven't really worked out. But it'll be in that range. But yeah price isn't so bad especially from what I hear from you guys. I'm getting good service. Which is what I want. I want things done right lol.

"It's called Sex Panther by Odeon. It's illegal in nine countries... Yep, it's made with bits of real panther, so you know it's good ... They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time it works, every time. "

UPDATE on my headlight. Tonight I was on my way home and it just shut off without any warning. The battery almost lasted 2 weeks of nightly commuting. My only complaint would be it didn't go dim or flicker, it just died without any prior warning. Except that, this is well worth every $$.. I'm going to buy a second one just cause.
Ordered a Campy Veloce groupset from Shiny Bikes in the UK on April 14. Received the order today and was shipped using Parcel Force/Canada Post priority mail. Total order came to $432 and was charged 5% GST only.

The CAAD10 and Guru are in the shop with John at the moment. The Campy groupset is going on to the Cinelli. I wanted a fully Italian setup on this bike. #HipsterFanboy
Not a huge fan of Shimano Sora.
