my apologies for "misinforming the masses" but that was what was told by my family doctor to me (possibly it was only in my case). the site speaks on behalf of the "average" female but like you said, every girl is different and not every female can produce that much blood considering factors such as contraception, their body ability to even have a period etc etc.

actually it's called common sense. a girls vagina needs to be at a certain ph level (hence the self cleaning etc etc) and having something in there to throw it off can cause a reaction which leads to infections (yeast infections etc etc)
