i'll be your friend rk ;) |
i wish i had wind..personal line, but my fido offer too hard to pass up. reason being is that i want to get my hands on a AWS nexusOne and hack the shit out of it to try all the neat stuff. Theres more ROMS and customization for the AWS version vs the UTMS nexusone |
^^^ The roms for the Nexus One works for any versions, it doesn't matter if its AWS or UMTS versions. |
Any new promos for July ? |
Is any Wind user on Nexus One? I have plan to go Wind Mobile with a Nexus, more specifically, how's the signal/3G speed in Richmond/Burnaby? |

never had a bad connection, dropped call or anything.. so i assume the N1 would be similar or a bit better for voice, for data, the nokia was a bit slow... so your N1 would rock So i just changed my plan to the $15 one.. haha half off $7.50 and i get all addons and cancelled my data.. i only used 70mins my first monthand like 100mb of internet.. instead of paying $45 im paying $7.50.. haha 100mins i figure should be enough.. i dont make a lot calls... |
could someone tell me if i can unlock a Roger's 9700 and use WIND? how about bell and telus? i'm in the market for one thanks |

^ thanks for the reply So pretty much i cannot use any 9700 with Wind Mobile unless its from Wind or T-mobile or i'll be paying for Roger's roaming fees? |
So is there a good AWS Android phone that is cheaper than the Nexus One? My brother wants to get on Wind |

my cousin walked into a store and got the employee there to sign her up on the friends and family deal, 50% off her plan permanently! i think the deal is over now though. |
those i believe are employee deals.. so unless the guys have any left and if they want to give it to you... |
Actually I think the best bet for him may be to get a used 3GS and go with Rogers or Fido. I assume (probably foolishly so) that their PLAN prices are the same regardless of whether you buy a subsidized phone from them. I'm sure there are tons of fools out there selling their 3GS to pay for their crack.. err new iphone 4. |
For those of you that might be interested in Wind, I saw these promos on HOFO and so I thought I'd share: $150 Porting Credit http://www.howardforums.com/attachme...3&d=1279159765 50% off data for 1 year!!!:D http://www.howardforums.com/attachme...4&d=1279159852 Free unlimited global text add on for 1 year! http://www.howardforums.com/attachme...5&d=1279159859 The promos are supposedly starting Thurs or Fri. |
nice $150 porting credit. Does this work with pay as you go customers? lets say you open fido pay as you go account to get a number. then you port that number over, get $150 credit from wind. btw how is reception indoors in richmond? specifically in concrete structured condos/apartments. |
^^^ varies by location, i think you should take advantage of WIND's return policy of 14days and 30min of talk time. try it out, if it works, GREAT, if not then use network builder? |
Is the 50% off data before August 15th too? |
their website says the porting credit is if you are currently with rogers/fido/chatr only... |

I'm just interested to know if the porting credit applies to pay as you go as well. My dad is using my old number on Rogers pay/go and ends up filling up on a $10 prepaid card each month. The basic Wind plan would be perfect for him |

Does the porting credit mean.. if you cancel your current plan in rogers/fido they will give you $150? |
porting credit will be given out in installments of 25$ this porting promo is for anyone that ports their number over, NOT just rogers/fido/chatr |
Please note that porting results in cancelling your existing plan with your current provider. You cannot cancel then port. :p |

i'll be jumping on this before aug.15th for sure! just gonna wait it out a bit to see if desire comes out before this offer ends. Quick question about rogers/fido billing, they bill for the month after right? so essentially they're pay before account? So if i get billed on the 1st of the month, i can use my service till the end of the month, port over to wind on the 30th, then i wont get billed again the next month? Do i need to call in to confirm cancellation with fido after wind ports me? or is it auto. |
