did get you other promos also, or just the port over credit?
WindTabs you can get with any promos... same witht he BOGOs

Thats what the WindTab is. I doubt most of us will finish the whole 3 + years with them. But its still cheaper than buying out a plan with Rogers/Fido/Telus/Bell.

There's no port over credit I dont think. It was just the WindTab that I got.
I went with their $40 Unlimited plan.

I don't know about their policy on changing plans, but however the $40 Unlimited Deal expired on December 24th.

stolengoods 12-26-2010 01:58 AM

Deal is extended to 31st.

you can, but the only way is to activate a new number and get a new sim.

i was on the 6months 50% off promo for $17.50/month, i was on my 5th month and i phoned wind CS and ask them if i could switch to the the $25 plan, i told them that its like a upgrade coz the new plan costs more.. they just kept telling that me that i need to activate a new number and buy a new sim.

StylinRed 12-27-2010 01:34 AM

so i got my bill today

Anyone have any clues why its $50.51 + tax (56.57) instead of $40 + tax ($44.8) ?

too tired to call now but i emailed and thought id ask here :D

edit nevermind i got it now i missed the 4th page of the bill that showed the payment is for 5 weeks instead of 4

vancitylove 12-27-2010 07:47 AM

they pro rate the first month and then pre bill you for the second month

BlitzPower 12-27-2010 11:46 AM

i got my $40 plan on dec.24
then i got my first bill on dec.25 wtf? on the bill it stats that the billing period is dec.23 to dec24.
anyone know whats going on?

bcrdukes 12-27-2010 01:06 PM

That is normal. Your billing period just so happened to be on the closing date.

You got billed for one day of use (24th) within that billing period. On the 25th, you pay in advance for your services.

Anyone know if I can get a SIM for free? I plan to register a plan and port a number, but if I could, I'd rather not pay for a SIM which is required for them to take my money every month.

willystyle 12-28-2010 01:22 AM

^ If you buy a phone then yes, if not, you'll need to pay for it.

I'm planning on going to wind today. Which areas will be "roaming"? will Vancouver(East)/Richmond be alright?

Yes, should be alright, all those areas should be covered. If you get charged roaming in Vancouver or Richmond, you could call in and they will credit you back

East Vancouver and Richmond is fine with Wind, I'm always in those areas and have reception 99% of the time.

I just cancelled my Fido contract, but I have to pay 1 more month. Does the wind tab offer end on Dec 31st? Also, does the wind tab cover for all phones?
