Help me choose a phone! Deciding between 2 phones... 1) Nokia 5800 XpressMusic 2) Nokia E71 3) Introduce me to a phone around the price of $250-$275!! Must work with Bell Sim card! I was going to buy the Telus Nokia E71 and unlock it, but I still don't know if that is possible. Then a friend told me about the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and it looks really good especially since its touchscreen and I can use the browser functions with the school free wifi.. Help me out RS! |
I've seen some vids of the 5800 and it looks like it lags when transitioning to pages. Apparently i won one though, i'll tell you how it handles if i ever get it lol ;) |
5800 is a pretty standard phone, nothing really special cept the touchscreen. connecting to the internet at times can be a pain in the balls, cuz it always say shit like " gateway : no reply " or some bullshit like that unless you restart the phone a couple times. transitions dont really lag after you update it with the latest firmware. Overall the phone is pretty solid, especially for its low pricetag. |
^You have one? I've played around with the e71 before and I must say its pretty good and useful.... hmm |
E71. |
u missed out on the n97 but go buy a NAM one n97 is almost both of those two phones combined |
So I was going to buy a Telus Nokia E71. ( I really need warranty btw) And I called into the telus people and asked if I can unlock the E71 and use it on the bell network and still have the warranty.. They said : #1, you can't unlock it and use it. #2, if you do unlock it, you will void all warranty it has... HELP!! If this doesn't go through then I need help trying to find another phone!!! P.S. Anyone here work for Bell and can provide hookups? :) |
what do you need the warranty for? It doesnt really cover anything that JP cellular couldn't handle for a decent price. All warranty covers is manufacture defects, not physical damage/water damage. |
