Acura Canada have lifetime warranty on seat belts?

In the US, there is a federal law that there is lifetime warranty on seatbelts.
Acura/Honda US will fix/replace any seatbelt component for free at a dealer.

How about in Canada? Same thing? Lifetime warranty on seat belts for the lifetime of the car?

My seatbelts are not retracting well so I want to see if I am covered under warranty.

Usually safety items are covered indefinitely (one would think).
My old 240SX (1992) had poor retracting seat belts back in 2005. Nissan was reluctant, but replaced both sides for free of charge.

You'd think they would do that to cover liability issues.

Sorry to revive this, but my my Honda also has the SRS light coming on and my seat belt has problems clicking (I have to do it like 5 times). I've heard its a faulty seatbelt sensor and in the US they're fixing them for free. Anyone know if its the same in Canada also?

The SRS light is a bitch. It's faulty seatbelt bucket. I paid over $300 something for the part + labor to get mines replaced.

there's a warrenty extension on the 2000 accords for the front seatbelt buckles, depending on the problem. 10 years of 240,000 km's. i'm not sure if its for any other year or model. i can check monday

I've never heard of any manufacturer warranting SRS systems or seatbelts after ten years.

Hey guys if you were having an SRS problem you might wanna look at this:
http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?t=308198

I was able to reset my light and its still off (only been 2 days lol.. hope it doesn't come back).

My seatbelt still has problems locking in place when first put on though-- don't know why (got the car used).
