Crossing the border on Xmas day

so me and my frds are going to a few days trip in settle and we plan to come back the morning of christmas. One my my frd told me he heard from someone that the borders is close on christmas, a quick google search didn't return anything solid just a few travel websites saying that christmas is a public holiday for the Canadian borders guards. Have anybody close the border on xmas days before? I can't imagine the any international border being close without causing public outcrys so am i being just bullshiting myself?

The Peace Arch and Truck Crossing will be open. Perhaps the other crossings might be closed though.
