don't forget trapster for radar traps |
Video Safe!!! Thanks for that one!!! :D |
I don't own an iphone, but do have the ipod touch. these are the ones I use the most out of all of them: 1. Facebook 2. TuneWiki (lets you find lyrics for the song you're listening to. the library is also pretty huge. it also has internet radio) 3. Wikiamo (Wikipedia app pretty much. works extremely well and very stable) 4. FML (hilarious, I agree with the OP) 5. Flixster (movie reviews, trailers, etc) note that all the ones I mentioned are free. no point in having paid apps in an ipod when it requires you to have data to use them to their full potential. |
In no order: 1) myprofiles (ringer profiles for iphone with scheduler) 2) sbsettings 3) bitesms (better sms client) 4) beejive (the best msn client although have to buy it) 5) videorecorder3g (for us iphone3g users) 6) Navigon/Tomtom (offline GPS) 7) Lockinfo (lockscreen mod to display weather/calendar etc on lockscreen) 8) backgrounder + proswitcher (multitasking for the iphone with panes) 9) pushgmail (push enabler for gmail requires data) |
T-Pain app is the best |
where do u guys dl the offline gps from?? tom tom/Navigon edit: nvm got it |
shazam |
Where are you guys getting these apps from? I can't search most of them on cydia. And after jailbreaking, I can't open my existing apps. Like tpain autotune Posted via RS Mobile |
appulous is your friend so is google you know ? |
especially when google is on the iphone as a search tool. My top 10 in no particular order: Pocket God Winterboard Currency Bejewelled 2 World View Installious Buddy Pro Star Defence HK Toolbar (for listening to HK radio and stuff) |
I find winterboard takes up too much resources. |
winterboard works for the most part, and i haven't had any issues with the phone since using it. Honestly, i don't actually use themes, i just want the wallpaper to show behind the icons lol... |
^^^ you dont use the 5 Column springboard or Dock? |
nope, which may sound like a waste to some people, but for me, i don't need 5 columns of icons. What i do is, on page one, i have like 2 icons and leave the screen clean so i can see the wall paper, and then all my other icons fill up the rest of the pages. one app (kinda) that i do like a lot is the Cydget app, and the HTC Sense clock on the lock screen. |
my 1st page is empty too :) it just helps keep the page count down for the rest |
I often wonder why i didn't do it before, cause the reason i wanted winterboard was to have personalized wallpaper. Another 10 apps that i use (i have an itouch that i got before the iphone came along, so the apps on both are different): Tumineko (a cat stacking game...typical japanese game that makes no apparent sense) Wikipanion Photoshop Mobile Time Crisis (hey, its free...kinda) W.TV (watch my TVB stuff on iphone or itouch) Flashlight (from Cydia) Ping! Bluetooth Photoshare HK Free WIFI spots My Account (from Rogers to check my usage) |
i just installed "Proswitcher" from Cydia. it allows multiple apps to run in the background and you can switch apps on the fly. free too:D very cool. instead of "flashlight" app, why dont you just take a picture of a white wall or do a print screen of a blank web page? |
Proswitcher is kind of confusing me atm. Can someone briefly tell me how it works, and which is the best/most convenient "activation mode?" |
After I unloaded winterboard my phone ran faster.. lol. |
Turbo E: the flashlight app gives me the option of different colors and strobing, which kinda is good if i was stuck on the side of the road and needed to signal someone...or use to signal someone in general. Mikroft: man, if the stock OS supported wallpapering like winterboard, i'd uninstall it too... |

nomally 1 tap on home key kills app. hold the key down and a window will confirm enable or disable. also in options u can make specific apps ALWAYS stay active. when u tap the proswitcher icon (on springboard), you will bring up all the current runing apps. swipe through them and either goto that app or kill it. warning: background apps do eat up power and memory so don't keep everything running esp GPS apps or games. Iceman: yeah i forgot about that. i used it at a Depeche Mode concert LOL |
Turbo E: for a dinky app that does nothing more than make the screen white, its actually pretty useful. There were times where i was in pitch darkness and it worked better than those pocket mag lights that were not LED based. |
^ Agreed, I find it to be pretty useful when you just randomly need some light. By no means can it replace those crazy like 70 LED lights, but if you just need a little bit of light it's very convenient. |
i just tried "Dragon Diction" its a speech to text app from the "Dragon Naturally speaking" folks. only 700KB and seems to work quite well. censors swear words tho. then it will copt the text and you can paste into a mms or email. quick and easy. me likey :) its not in the Canadia app store or Appulo. look in Xsellize |
