Just saw this tonight with BF and friend, it really caught me off guard, totally wasn't expecting the way it turned out on screen in theatres, definitly not your typical edward cullen vampire movie.
The trailer really just shows the boring parts, it had me jumping a few times in the movie, no wonder it's rated 18A.
and just in case someone wants to read the plot but other people don't want it up there, spoiler tags!
Spoiler!
Plot: In the year 2019, a plague has transformed most every human into vampires. Faced with a dwindling blood supply, the fractured dominant race plots their survival; meanwhile, a researcher works with a covert band of vamps on a way to save humankind.

I was gonna watch it today at 10:35.. but as soon as I got to silvercity @ metro .. I saw a huge line that goes down the stairs to the 2nd floor (near pizza slice) for Avatar (that movie is so freaken awesome) and when we checked for the DayBreaker movie the line was already full! I'll try my luck tomorrow. ):

went to watch avatar imax got there at 10pm and there was already a huge line and it was sold out -_-
saw Daybreakers instead
it was pretty good except for some cheesy acting by that female and the odd bat
i couldn't help but feel a political innuendo though from the film... like the Vampires=USA and they're not able to leech off of people anymore; as a result their world as they know it is going to end, and they end up turning on themselves (new orleans, home-grown terrorism, etc). The solution is to start from square one when they were making things on their own, instead of taking.
was gonna leave but thought it would get better... it never did
I wouldnt even say its worth your time to stream this movie
