Australia vs. NZ?

Hey guys,

just wanted your opinions (i couldn't find any threads really related to my question) so here goes:

Is New Zealand worth visiting alongside Australia? Or are they pretty much similar to each other?

Also, If I were to go visit another place in addition to these two places, where would you guys recommend:

- Papua New Guinea
- Samoa
- Vanuatu
- Fiji

My friend and I are thinking of going for 2 weeks in total in end of aug/early september.

Thanks!

Well, Aus is full of beaches and what not, East coast is the way to go. Melbourne's good for shopping/music, Brissy and the Gold Coast are good for partying. Sydney is a cool city too. If you can make it to Cairnes, you should, one of the launching points for the Great Barrier Reef, and that's a must see. Also a huge party city.

NZ is similiar to BC/Vancouver Island for it's geography, not sure about the culture.
